About this chalet rental

A detached 4 bedroomed chalet on 3 levels with large bathroom and additional separate WC. Well appointed, comfortable open plan living and dining area with woodburning stove. Located within easy access of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area in a small hamlet adjacent to the village of Le Biot, with its bar/restaurant/pizzeria, bakery and fromagerie - plus new addition 2019 a deli/caterer Traiteur. Superb location for winter or summer holidays.

Note the property is monitored via an exterior webcam. This is disarmed remotely when guests arrive, unless they would rather we left it active.

5 minutes drive to St Jean D'Aulpes with large Carrefour supermarket and restaurants.
15 minutes drive to Morzine.
15 minutes to the Grande Terche.
20 minutes to Ardent. 20+ minutes to Les Gets, 30 minutes to Thonon, Evian and Lake Geneva.
Around 1 hour from Geneva Airport.

Excellent area for both summer and winter activities, including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting, swimming, climbing and of course eating!

We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet d'Alpage. The owners, David and Justine are very nice and helpfull people. The chalet was clean, well equipped, warm and cosy and the log burner is a nice touch. The hot water was super hot and plentiful, and the bathroom had both an excellent shower and a comfortable bath. Nice location and easy acces to all areas of interest (we had a car though). We can't thank enough to David and Justine for all their help and guidance, and we will definitely go back for a summer expirience. Thank you guys.

Everything in the chalet was perfect and it's very close to a lot of very nice hikes or climbs with your road/mountains bike.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet d'Alpage. The hosts David and Justine were a pleasure to deal with. The chalet was clean, well equipped, warm and cosy (especially with the log burner going!) and everything you could need is provided. We also enjoyed several films from their extensive DVD collection! Our daughter especially enjoyed the basement Bunk-Room bedroom. With the radiator on it was warm and cosy, and beautifully quiet. The hot water was super hot and plentiful, and the bathroom had both an excellent shower and a comfortable bath - great for those tired ski-legs! It's about a 20 minute drive to the lift station at Ardent (to access Avoriaz), or about 35 minutes to the lift station at Nyon (to access Morzine/Les Gets) - both have free parking. Due to the low levels of light pollution here, the view of the stars in the night sky was absolutey amazing. Don't forget to step outside and have a look! Thanks once again for an amazing holiday David and Justine!

We had a great week at Chalet d'Alpage. Biot is a lovely village and we enjoyed the walk to the boulangerie each morning for our croissants and bread. Lots of lovely places to visit in the area.

Great chalet in a convenient location for skiing

Comfortable chalet with plenty of space and very cosy living area. The weather wasn’t great whilst we were there so we made the most of the log burner. The journey from Geneva airport was so easy and we were able to pick up skis in Le Biot which was really handy. We had two days in Morzine (less than 20 mins) and the rest of the time used the Ardent lift by Lake Montriond (also 20 mins). We had two visits to the restaurant in Le Biot and the food was excellent- can particularly recommend the fondue and the braserade ( like a mini BBQ on the table).

Have stayed here twice now. Once in the winter for skiing with my brothers and recently a return visit with the family for our summer holiday. The chalet is perfect for both occasions. The local facilities are great even with small children (our eldest is three). A trip up a cable car, swimming in Morzine (or one of the mountain lakes!), funicular railways and a visit to the goat village kept them entertained for 2 weeks. Everything is easily accessed. We would highly recommend staying at Chalet d'Alpage!

Our family of four including two young adult children enjoyed a short ski break at Chalet d'Alpage. Although a little out of the way for skiing, the short drives were well worth it. The chalet was clean, very comfortable, home from home, and very well equipped for self catering. There was also a massive selection of family dvds. The power shower was great and it was lovely to have a bath too. The setting is beautiful and the views are stunning. It was an easy traffic free 20 minute drive to the Ardent ski lift for Avoriaz ski area, where the parking is free and there were enough spaces even in busy February half term. It was a great way of avoiding the lift queues full of school children in Morzine. Ski hire and storage was also easy at Ardents Sports at the lift. Communication from the owners was excellent both during the booking process and our arrival when we needed the directions again! We would love to return.

We had a great time, chalet is very nice and location is spot on. We didn't want to be bang in the middle of Morzine and found this location perfect, it took us 10-15 mins in the car in the morning and had prebooked the car park, so everythign was straight forward THe chalet was lovely, massive wooden table, tv, books etc to keep kids happy. Rooms were nice and garage for ski boots etc were handy, the only small negative for us was that the stair were circular and a bit steep which my daughter bounced down one day, but nothing major. Overall a fab chalet and one we'd like to use again if we return to Morzine Mark

The chalet is positioned in an excellent location within the Portes du Soleil area which is excellent for mountain biking and walking. Les Gets and Morzine are easily reached by car. Lake Montroind is about 20 minutes drive and well worth a visit. The chalet is within 30 minutes drive on lake Geneva where you can visit the wonderful town on Thonon Les bains. The chalet is very well equipped and is furnished to a high standard, it has everything you need for a great holiday. We visited in July 2015 and the weather was fantastic and the villa enjoys a pleasant sunny position and has a private garden where you can enjoy the sunshine. We will certainly stay at this Chalet again next time we visit the area.

The Chalet d'Alpage was wonderful. We were 6 people staying 5 nights. The place was just right for us. The very spacious kitchen- and dining area was inviting to have breakfasts and dinners at home. The kitchen is well equipped and offered everything you needed to prepare food. The slopes of Avoriaz and Morzine were easy to reach by a 15 minutes drive. The communication with Justine and David went smoothly so that we were well prepared when arriving in the chalet. Dear both of you, I'd like to thank you for having let us stay in your home. We will be glad to come back at a future holiday. Kindest regards!!

This chalet is very equipped and is maintained to an excellent standard, it can easily accommodate two families and is well positioned for the mountains. The accommodation is spread over three floors, 3 bedrooms (two doubles, 1 twin) and a bathroom on the top floor, dining room kitchen, lounge and toilet on the 2nd floor with the fourth bedroom (bunk beds with a pull out if required), garage and wash-room on the ground floor. The chalet has modern TV's, DVD player's and a CD player in the lounge with a good selection of modern films and music and has SKY and WIFI installed. The chalet furnishings are really excellent and we would highly recommend this chalet for skiing or for exploring the lovely countryside. The owners of the chalet provide a first class service and provide local information to assist you in enjoying your stay. Book with confidence and enjoy the best France has to offer.

We stayed for 5 nights in this beautiful chalet, which enjoys a fabulous south facing position with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The house is extremely well appointed and tastefully furnished, combining the traditional and modern to excellent effect. With all "mod cons" that you'd expect, it really does ensure that guests have everything they could possibly need for a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay. We loved it! Although better known for skiing, we were delighted to find that even in Summer there are a plethora of activities to do and sights to see. Highlights included a trip to the top of a nearby mountain on a cable car and a downhill walk through the most spectacular alpine scenery and meadows, swimming in the nearby lake, browsing the local weekly markets for local delicacies and produce; the list is endless! There are excellent local amenities and no shortage of restaurants and shops, including a local fromagerie and a lovely little boulangerie less than 10 minutes walk from the chalet. For anyone looking to experience summer in France at its very best this has to be at the top of the list of regions to visit - who needs Provence! The area is simply breathtaking and is a bit of an undiscovered jewel where summer is concerned... we can't wait to go back!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Haus genossen. Mit zwei Personen hat man genug Platz. Das Chalet ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Alltag so braucht. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an DVDs. Vom Haus aus kann man viele Wanderungen in der Umgebung unternehmen. Mit dem Auto erreicht man in etwa 30 Minuten den Genfer See. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war problemlos und zuvorkommend.

Wir haben im August 2021 eine Woche in diesem sehr schönen Ferienhaus verbracht. Meine Familie und ich haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt und uns gut erholt. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns der großzügige Wohn-Essbereich mit der gemütlichen Couch. In der Urlaubswoche haben wir zahlreiche Ausflüge zum Wandern und an den Genfersee gemacht.

Spacious, more than adequately equipped house for both summer and winter activities. Very well strategically placed between Morzine and Evian, with direct road to Chatel and Switzerland. At the same time placed in a sleepy town away from main route. Wonderful view of Alps in the morning. Very good communication with owners, simple procedures with check-in and out. Though locally no activities or spaces for younger kids, except for small garden. There are some local trails but a car is a must pretty much. We had wonderful stay.

De woning was van alle gemakken voorzien en erg gezellig. Dit mede door de heerlijke hout kachel die aanwezig was. Bedden waren goed en ligging t.o.v. het skigebied ook uitstekend. Wij hebben genoten.
