Val Thorens (3 valleys) ski-to-door apartment, 2 bedrooms, 4/6 people

We stayed for Easter. The apartment was clean and just the right size for the four of us. The beds were comfortable and the facilities great. There was some noise at night from people passing in the corridor, but it became quiet after 2300 hrs, so did not disturb our sleep.

Good location and atmosphere. Ski and ski out. Can’t ask for much more in terms of value for money.

The apartment is accurately represented in the pictures and was very good value for money for the price we paid. It is also a great location on the pistes, being right on the main run through town, opposite a magic carpet if you need to get up the hill for lessons and a short run down to a number of lifts heading in both directions across the 3 valleys. You can ski right back to the door as well which isn't true of a lot a properties in VT. I would be giving this place a 5 star review if it weren't for the fact that the Residence de Temples Soleil appears to be the accommodation favoured by multiple Student ski trips turning the entire block into a giant university halls of accommodation. Every night the corridors around our apartment became party central. Complaints to management were basically useless as the noise was never attached to one room as it moved through the hallways. It tended to subside by 11ish but that is 2 hours after my daughter was trying to sleep. It became intimidating at times as people were also hammering on our door occasionally as they walked past swearing loudly. If you are the kind of skiers who wouldn't be getting back to your apartment until late then none of this would be a problem, but if you wanted an early night as a young family then it is a problem.
