Jasmin House - Cottage

The house is lovely. We particularly loved the outside kitchen, dining and lounge area and we used this a great deal. The pool was also great. The house is in a good location in a small hamlet but there are no facilities there so you do need to drive everywhere. It is about 20min drive to Coimbra which is a very pretty old city and definitely worth a visit. The Atlantic coast is about 45min drive where there are beautiful long sandy beaches. The only downside for us was the proximity to the A13 motorway - the motorway is quite close to the house and you can clearly hear the cars all the time but especially at peak times so if you want total tranquility I would suggest you look elsewhere. The owners were friendly and very quick to answer our questions / emails before and during our stay. They met us to let us into the property and came to collect the keys and see us off at the end. We would definitely recommend this property.

Friendly Reception by the ownners. There were groceries and Portugese pastries as a welcome. Nice covered outdoor kitchen. Several terraces, also with shade. You can make nice walks. Not many interesting villages nearby (besides Coimbra and Figuera). You see the A13 from the terrace, that’s a little remark. But far enough that the noise doesn’t bother. Many steps in and around the house, so not convenient for people that cannot walk well.

Die netten Vermieter empfingen uns mit portugiesischen Spezialitäten zum probieren. Das Haus ist rustikal eingerichtet, fast ein wenig zu kitschig. Besonders gefallen hat uns der überdachte Außenbereich, der mit Grill und Steinofen ausgestattet ist! Im Pool kann man sich an heißen Tagen abkühlen. Der Vermieter schickte uns sogar eine vergessene Uhr nach Deutschland zurück, vielen Dank dafür! Einzig die Betten im kleineren Schlafzimmer sollten mal ausgetauscht werden. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft sehr zu empfehlen!

É uma propriedade muito agradável, com uma boa decoração e com muito sossego. A casa é antiga de pedra, não tivemos muita sorte porque, apanhamos temperaturas muito altas quando lá estivemos, o que fez com que a casa fosse muito quente e sem ar condicionado. Tinha sim ventoinhas, mas, coitadas não deram conta do recado, o que fez que as noites fossem muito quentes e difíceis. Mas no geral tirando uma formiga ou outra sendo cada de campo recomendo a casa...
