I liked the owners of this apartment. They were always polite and smiling. I especially want to mention the view from the balcony. It was amazing

- You will pay for the room reservation on site. Although this was not indicated anywhere and no one told us about it. If you pay by card, be prepared to pay an additional 6-7% commission. - It takes 20-25 minutes to walk to the beach, although it is stated that the beach is 250 meters away. - The breakfasts are similar, with a large amount of oil.

I loved the rooftop patio. Extremely refreshing

We loved staying at Eleni Guest house. We rented the 2 room apartment on the rooftop which was very comfortable and clean. The family in charge of the business are wonderful people. Mr. Joseph is respectable and Joy and the whole family are very welcoming. We loved the Albanian feel of the apartment. The breakfast is also really good with breads, pancakes, crepe, cheeses, different types of egg dishes, marmalade, tomatoes, cucumber ..etc. I would definitely advise to stay here.

Good service that matches the price.

We stayed at the hotel in July 2025. Nice quiet place, away from the noisy center. Very friendly hotel owners, such people make you want to come back. The hotel is very clean, delicious breakfasts, very nice view of Saranda from the balcony. The hotel is located on a mountain, so it is convenient to have a car for a beach holiday.

Location and view from the balcony were spotless, the hosts were very hardworking, nice and welcoming. Clean, comfortable and great breakfast, not exactly the same everyday.

The owners were super nice and friendly. They facilitated all our needs and even though we woke up late after our check out time they offered us breakfast and had no problems with us.

It’s a little bit of a walk however it’s worth it better if you have a car though

Great experience

The property was spotless, with a grandiose view, and the family running it was warm and genuinely welcoming. This is Albania’s true point of difference – raw, honest, and refreshingly untouched by over-commercialisation. Loved every moment.

A great little spot for one or two nights to get into Sarandë to see and visit the city

It was clean, comfortable and within walking distance to town and beach and the hosts were so helpful and friendly. We were served a wonderful breakfast in the morning as well. Exceptional value for money.

The braekfast was good. It was alwas fully accessable, also when we were one of the latest guests going to the breakfast. From this guest house you have a great view over the town. We were there by car. On foot it would be a bit tiring to go uphill from the center. In any way a very friendly familiy run and clean guest house.

Pet friendly location in Sarande

The guest house is very clean, with renovated rooms. A big plus for being a pet friendly location. No extra charge for our 2 dogs.

Tourists should be aware that this is a guest house and not a hotel, as the lady at the reception clearly stated when we asked for fresh towels every day. Towels are changed every 3 nights, when the room is cleaned - as a rule. When we argued that this is not feasable for us, a nice member of the staff (a man) offered us some fresh towels. Also, the location is about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Sarande and it can be a torture during hot summer days because you also have to use steep, crowded streets to get there. So, having a car is a must! The breakfast could be improved in terms quality & creativity.

Lovely, family run guest house in Sarandë

The guesthouse is family run and everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean with good air-conditioning, a fridge, wardrobe/drawers and balcony. The bathroom was modern and of a good size. Breakfast in the mornings was varied and the buffet set up was great. Views over the bay while eating breakfast were gorgeous. If you have a car they have good parking spaces.

Not a dislike, just a note - the property is up the hill away from the sea and it is around a 20 minute walk from the town centre but this is manageable.

Cheap wonderful beautiful accommodation on the level! The view was incredible. I have dreamed of such a view all my life! The breakfast is completely up to par. The owners were incredibly friendly and nice! They were always smiling.They were always interested in making us happy! I recommend this hotel out of 10! Beautiful room, clean, with everything needed for the kitchen as well. Beautiful terrace.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this apartment and it was absolutely wonderful. The sea views were breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and made us feel right at home. They provided a delicious breakfast each morning . The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed - we had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic vacation spot.

The worst ever stay, this accommodation and the ignorance of owner ruined my mood for whole vacay

The father was a friendly and warm person who drove us in his cab to the bus terminal in Saranda city, near the harbor.

- We've been cheated with type of room we've booked and payed for. We took a double deluxe room with sea view & with kitchenette, however when we came at the property, we got another room with side sea view and without any kitchenette. I asked the owner to give us the room we booked, then she showed us a room with kitchenette but without sea view saying that she made a favor to us providing that room with side sea view. Then she showed us another room, the 3rd one with kitchenette and sea view, but of course not that sea view that it is in the booking pictures. The flat was located at level -2 , underground somehow so the sea view was obstructed. But it did not matter in the end, we were so tired and accepted it. -The washstand and the toilet were very dirty, I asked Eleni to wash it, she said it was a problem 5 minute before we came and some masters came to fix smth in the bathroom and that she will clean it. We came to the hotel few hours later and noticed that the washstand was cleaned, but the toilet was not touched even. What can I say here, even public toilets from Saranda's restaurants were cleaner that the one from our room, It was dusty and covered in old urine marks. Not the dust was my problem, but urine marks which disgusted me a lot!! there was also some pieces of hair there. I was thinking maybe she did not understand me, she did not get that the WC is dirty (as the owner does not speak English) then I wrote her on booking asking in a kindle manner to wash the toilet as it is dirty, I even provided her pictures to see it. Instead of apologizing for that, we got aggressive answers that it is clean and that I am looking for problems. So I'm cheated by getting a different room, I get a dirty toilet full of old urine marks and hairs and in the end I am the person who looks for problems?? Of course I've been ignored and nobody came to clean it. The stove was absolutely messy as well.

Great place to stay in Saranda

Ms Eleni is incredibly nice and helping person. 😊 She helped us with every request or question. The room was clean and nice, and the view was breathtaking! The room with kitchen annex had electric cooker, frying pan, pot, colander and cutlery. Free WiFi has very good quality, allowing to watch Netflix in the high quality. The breakfast was tasty, and I recommend paying a little more for the coffee. It's really nice. It's perfect localisation to visit Saranda, beaches in Ksamil, or to go to the Blue Eye. . It's best to have a car, as it's quite far from the beach to walk, but owners provide the free parking space. Also, the owner is a cap driver, so there is no problem with getting eanywhere Like in most places in Albania, you can pay only with cash. If I would ever go back to Saranda again, I would most certainly go back to Eleni Guest House.

This guest house is just a joke, never had such a bad experience

Only the view was good

First of all, I booked a deluxe room with a kitchen, and when I arrived I got another room without kitchen. When I said it, they answered that it was a double booking and somebody booked my room at the same time as I. If it was true, they could write me in advance or cancel the booking, however they tried to muck around. On the 2.day I moved to another room, only because I complained, there was the kitchen but it was not the same room as in the pictures. I had a sea view, but only the side sea view. -It was not possible to pay by card, the could write it in advance too, I hadn't enough cash money because I booked it for 1 week, so it was much money..I had to withdraw money in the city.. -The breakfast is the same every morning, only fatty fried eggs and sweets. No choice at all. Coffee only for extra money. I travel a lot but I have never seen that you have to pay for coffee when the breakfast is included. -The location is very far from the city center and it is located very high, so you have to walk around 25-30 minutes to the top of the hill. Without a car would be difficult. Taxi would cost you around 10 Euros, though it is only around 7 mins with a car. -There were ants everywhere, even on the bed. -When I asked for a soap and shampoo, they said they will put it in my room when they clean, however, they didn't put it..I had to buy it :D This guest house is just a joke, never had such a bad experience.

Good

The hotel is runed by their owners, they are very attentive in any aspects. The deluxe room was amazing, it may have one of the best views of Sarande without any doubt. The rooms as well as the terrace and the main hall are really confortables and everything was really clean.

During check in we were informed that they did not accept credit cards so we had to go downtown to withdraw money from an atm where the exchange rate is not always favorable. The place is in Sarande's upper side, 30 minutes walking from the downtown and the coastline. Not all the staff speak English and it could become a barrier in some cases. The breakfast should have more variety including fruits

Very poor

The room "with balcony and mountains view" is a room without any outside balcony, but with a window opening onto the reception and breakfast room. There is no air, no light, no view, no privacy. Given our protests, we were offered to pay for one night only and leave the next morning, which we accepted. Only to be told the next morning that if we left we had to pay for the whole reservation. The problem was only solved by contacting booking. Cheaters.

Perfect hotel in a very good location. The view from the window was phenomenal. We were welcomed by owner, who made every effort to make the night in the hotel go comfortable. Parking was in front of hotel and it was ok. Even though we arrived late, it didn't couse a problem. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean. I recommend. There were no cons.
