About this house rental
Surrounded by 2000 square meters of garden, overlooks the Bay of Horta.
It was built in 1927 by Jaime Ferreira da Gama, grandfather Jaime Gama, former President of the Portuguese National Assembly.
In 2006 it was restored. This is where our family spends a few days on vacation.
Outside is the "Arc Tangled," a small century-old bridge que once bordered Horta village.
It is 850 meters to the city center and 700 meters to Ferries Harbor.

When you reserve the Family House, you reserve all the house and outdoor spaces only for yourself.
It is in this house que our family spends a few days of vacation. All the space is equipped and furnished to allow us to quiet and comfortable holiday.
The exterior spaces of the "House of the Family / The Family House" allow us a pleasant conviviality and we do not miss a good barbecue or roasted fish beautiful.
The area of Calçada da Conceição is known for its tranquility, with easy access to beaches (Conception and Storekeeper), walking trails and the Port of Ferries to easy travel to the Island and St. George Island Peak, is only 700 meters. The House Family / The Family House is 850 meters to the city center.
After check-in, and welcome reception, our guests are at your leisure and with the entire Family House to enjoy.
The guests, we know how important it is to feel supported by the knowledge of those who know the region.
The hosts we are always available for any information and assistance that our guests require during their stay.
The House of the Family is licensed According to the Law applied in the Azores Autonomous Region.

We loved this comfortable property with its view over the city of Horta. We could walk into town in about 20 minutes, which meant we didn’t have to drive.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Jorge's family home. All ages 4 - 70 found the space comfortable and perfectly suited for a relaxing home away from home. The communication prior and during the stay was excellent, and much appreciated. We will be happy to visit again the next time we visit Faial.

Our family of 5 (four adults & one teen) felt right at home. Plenty of room and the outside yards are very special. You’ll want a rental car or be prepared for a steep walk up from town. Kitchen is small but well-equipped. Hosts are nice and helpful. WiFi is strong & reliable. Good screens on the windows to keep the biting bugs out!
