About this farm stay rental

Porthdafarch South Farmhouse is a wonderful sanctuary to stay with family and friends at any time of the year. This 2 storey stone built former farmhouse stands in an elevated position in over 3/4 acres of land. With parts of the house dated back to the late 18th century. Stunning 360 views of Snowdonia, Llyn peninsula and across the coast. With open fires, thick farmhouse walls, exposed beams, comfort and character is offered throughout.
Situated a short walk from the popular Porthdafarch blue flag beach, a firm favourite of families and adventurer tourists alike, it is popular for coastal walks, rock pooling, paddle boarding, kayaking and scuba diving.
The farmhouse sleeps eight people with a super king size (or two singles), 2 x king size and bunk bed. Upstairs the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is spacious, beautifully equipped with panoramic views. Cosy sofas, open fire/wood burner, free Wi-Fi, Sky and Bluetooth DAB sound system. The well-equipped utility room has a washer, extra fridge freezer and tumble dryer. The land behind and in front also belongs to the property and is there for you to enjoy.
Only two miles from the centre of Trearddur Bay and the local town, everything you need is just on hand, including shops, supermarkets, highly rated places to eat and drink, and lots of outdoor adventures.

The window seat is a highlight! House has everything you need. UsefulFor anyone with dogs - the rear garden is shared with the other properties but we didn’t find this a problem you just keep them on a lead.

The farmhouse is in an excellent location, 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute drive to shops. Beautiful views and the house is well equipped with everything you need. Downstairs log burner is excellent, but only used the one upstairs in the living room once as it used a lot of wood for not much heat. Bring your own logs as there are none at the property. The central heating was very good, but we did rely on the downstairs burner when the electricity went off for several hours (local power cut). Everyone loved the window seats and the large table was great for games. Everyone said the beds were comfy, we did sleep well. We managed to get two cars in front of the house and one on the road, there is plenty of room for parking and the outside space was great. Definitely recommend this property.

The house is lovely and it's position is fantastic. The property felt like it was newly refurbished, it was well stocked with everything you would need and the beds were very comfortable. There is a lot of room and the way it's designed means that you get amazing views. The window seat upstairs was a favourite spot for us as you could sit and look out over the headland and the sea. The nearby cove is literally a 2 minute walk down the hill and a larger beach is situated a 5 minute drive (or 20 minute walk) away. For a quiet getaway I would recommend this property.

A stylish, beautifully refurbished, contemporary farmhouse with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The house is spotlessly clean, with really comfy beds and spacious lounge areas for relaxing with family and friends. We celebrated my Dad's 90th birthday and my parents 60th wedding anniversary so we wanted somewhere pretty special - and the farmhouse was perfect. It is practically a stone's throw for a very pretty little bay (no dogs from May - September) and only a five minute drive to another beautiful, bigger beach (where dogs are allowed). The views from the house - and the sunset from nearby South Stacks Lighthouse - are stunning. Kelly is a great host and has thought of everything for a relaxing stay. Thank you for a special stay in your special house.

Second time staying here. Lovely to arrive to a clean, freshly decorated property with comfortable beds and plenty of space for the whole family. House took a bit of warming up so get the heating on as soon as you arrive if staying in colder months! We made good use of the well equipped kitchen and the beautiful beach. Our usual road into Porth Dafarch was closed for roadworks which made arriving a little tricky but we easily found a new route when we left. Hope we can stay again soon.

As the star rating indicated, we found the whole experience perfect. My only reservation was that because our party did not number eight, it proved more expensive per person. If a way to restrict use of some rooms and charge appropriately I would love to stay more frequently. It was blissful.

We couldn’t say enough good things about this property and Kelly the manager. The accommodation was very well designed, impeccably clean and with nice furnishings. It was quiet but close enough to the town and access to beaches. The views were absolutely amazing.

I wanted somewhere to stay before our wedding day and a nice place to get ready with my mum the morning of our wedding.....and I definitely picked the perfect cottage, for sure. The cottage is so beautiful and them views are just simply breathtaking. Just a shame about the weather really, but the sun came out when we left the cottage (morning of wedding), which was perfect. I enjoyed my 4 nights there.....my mum came to join me on our last night and enjoyed it too. She thought I owned the property, (I wish, ha ha). The cottage is spotless and felt like home. Everything we needed was there. Very cozy! My only suggestion would be for more lighting outside...When I arrived, it was pitch black and I struggled to see to park the camper and see the key safe. So I definitely advise you have a torch or a fully charged phone, mine was pretty much dead and it was a bit manic in the tipping rain, lol. But once inside, it was all forgotten once I got the kettle on. Everything inside this cottage has been lovingly thought-out, it is a truly special place. And Kelly is so lovely. Thank you for having us xxx Highly recommend!!!

Wow, what a beautiful property, clean, everything you needed there and plenty of room for 8 of us and 3 dogs. Loved the kitchen and living area where we could all be together and as it was upstairs, stunning views too. Washing machine and dryer were very handy and loved the fact that both front and back door, had flooring suitable for doggy paws before the carpet. Host was excellent, great communication. Highly recommended for a fab break.

We had a wonderful stay in the Farmhouse. The location is fantastic and the views are wonderful. Very well thought out property with suitable modern decor. Very clean throughout and very home from home. We missed not having any tea towels or oven glove to get things out of the oven. And it would be handy and quick to have a toaster. Apart from these very minor things we couldn't fault it

We had a wonderful short break here, family of 6 with 3 teenagers and 2 dogs. Short walk to an amazing beach (no dogs in the summer which is a shame) was all we needed. Lovely upstairs living area with great views. Well equipped kitchen, Comfortable bedrooms and great bathroom. The utility room, washing machine, freezer etc made living here like being at home.

The property was perfect for us and we had a fantastic Easter break staying here. Amazing location and great views of the beach at Porthdafarch. Our girls were never once bored here with so many games and toys and local sights to explore. The cooking facilities are top notch and it’s kitted out with everything you need to make this a home from home. It’s also got lots of lovely window seats and comfy sofas and light fills the upstairs living areas. Very much hope to come back here again.

A beautiful cottage in a great location!

A beautiful cottage in a great location!

Myself & my family (4 adults, 4 children ranging from 9 to 12 weeks olds) stayed here for a week and had a great time. The cottage is beautifully renovated to a high specification. Kelly the owner also left some welcome items which made the stay easier. The views from the living room on the top floor are amazing and so relaxing when sitting by the open log fire/burner. The large porch made it easier to get rid of the days wet clothes/shoes, etc without worrying about getting sand everywhere! The cottage is easy to find and is ideally located for visiting neighbouring sites. It is close to the A55 for ease of travelling and supermarkets/petrol, etc are 5 minute drive away but you would never know as the cottage feels like you are in the middle of the countryside away from it all. The cove up the road is a 2 minute walk and is nice for children when the tide is out as it has small rock pools for the little ones to explore. Treaddor Bay is only a 5/10 min drive down the main road and has a long sandy beach with bars, restaurants and shops to explore. South stack & the lighthouse are a 5/10min drive in the opposite way and have lovely views. We drove to Beaumaris and had a go at crabbing on the pier which is great for the kids (big as well as little!). Buy a net though as it is much easier to catch them and the seagulls are less likely to grab them! Holyhead is 5 minutes up the road and the children enjoyed seeing the ferrys docking and we had a walk around the national park. Each trip provided beautiful scenery and was made even better knowing that we were returning to a beautiful home. Overall a great holiday in a beautiful location! Fully recommend!

The farmhouse is an amazing property with lots of attention to detail which creates a real home from home experience. The layout of the house is perfect for getting the best of the surrounding views and lots of thought has been put into the furnishings to make the best of the farmhouse feeling. It is beautifully pristine and maintained to a high standard. Kelly the owner is so helpful and provides an extremely helpful folder full of information about the house but also recommendations for activities, restaurants etc to guide you to the best places Overall the farmhouse is a fantastic base for a family to make amazing holiday memories from.
