Villa Aurelia Pompei

Beautiful Villa. Superb hospitality. Beautiful people and beautiful food in a beautiful surrounding.

I did not care for the fact that I needed to leave to go home ( to the US )

The staff and the food were amazing

Unfortunately there were many ants in the kitchen of the apartment. Also the pool is not private for the residents of the villa. On both days there were many local residents at the pool meaning there were no parking spaces and no sun loungers available. Many of the people at the pool were teenagers making it intimidating for our young children.

The property was good, location was far away with no way of transport other than taxi. The staff did offer a taxi trip for us though.

On arrival there was a lot of people at the property who were not staying there, just to use the pool.

Run by an incredibly friendly, kind and generous family. Our ground floor apartment was really large, comfortable and private. The outdoor area was huge with ample clothes line capacity (perfect after a week without laundry facilities!). The pool area was lovely and often busy with local day guests. Breakfast was fabulous with so much food we were also able to prepare sandwiches for lunch. We were also driven by Simone to Pompei for an early tour saving us the stress of navigating the narrow roads and parking.

Road to villa is narrow and can be hard to find, the property is further from Pompei than I expected but still great as a base to see Pompei and Herculaneum
