Stunning & Spacious Purbeck Home in a Village Setting Close To The Sea

Over Christmas my husband and I stayed here with our parents and 2 dogs. We love to cook, so the fact that the house has a large, well equipped kitchen and a big dining table too is perfect. With 4 large bedrooms and three large bathrooms, there is privacy for everyone, if wanted. The large, comfortable lounge is ideal for socialising and playing games. To top it all, there are some great walks straight from the house and a proper pub just 30 seconds away! We loved the house and Angela was a super helpful host. We would happily stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was lovely and spacious, clean and well equipped. If you have children who enjoy walking, you can walk into swanage, otherwise there is a very useful bus stop close by. A really enjoyable stay.

This is a perfect house for a large group, especially a family of three generations. Most can have a large bedroom effectively with private shower/toilet facilities, and a superb flexible open space downstairs to accommodate varying needs. It is perfectly equipped and maintained. And the garden is gorgeous. Good parking for at least three cars, and a perfect location. Can't recommend too highly.

My parents have been holidaying in the area for many years, and this was a great house for a family group of mixed ages. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for my parents who are in their 80s. The open plan kitchen, dining living space with big windows was perfect. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden which was very well maintained. We had a visit from my niece and her partner, and enjoyed a family lunch at the large dining table. We visited the nearby pub and deli on several occasions. A great break!

We stayed for three nights with our family and one dog. It was perfect. The house is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped in a beautiful quiet and picturesque area. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for giving us the chance to meet up with family on Sunday. Everybody was very appreciative

The property was very comfortable in a quiet area in a pretty village. Very clean and spacious and catered for most of our various needs.

We were 3 generations staying at Angela's home, and really enjoyed our week there. The house is very spacious and comfortable, very modern bathroom/shower rooms, with a large south facing garden. It is in a very quiet location and only takes a few minutes to reach Swanage. Lots of lovely walks, beaches, restaurants. We would recommend for a relaxing holiday.

Our party was two grandparents with two daughters and their husbands and two 4 year olds plus our small dog. The large bedrooms and very well equipped separate bathrooms allowed for some helpful family separation and the large open-plan living space and access to the garden worked well for all of us.

A thoroughly enjoyable week in Angela's lovely house - comfortable, clean and welcoming. The house is very well appointed with spotless bedding and state of the art bathrooms. Quiet and relaxing location with a beautiful garden and enough seats for everyone! Easy access to Swanage with fabulous facilities for children and marvellous sunbeds on the beach. Bournemouth is worth a day out for the Oceanarium and big wheel. The village shop and deli are great but there isn't a supermarket close to the village. We ate well at the pub in the village too. Highly recommended.

Perfect location to explore the beautiful Purbeck Isle. Plenty of space, well appointed and equipped. Good communication with host. No negatives.

We stayed here in early Sept with husband, two children (3.5 and 9 months) and my parents who had been shielding since early March thanks to COVID. The house is ideally located for this group, brilliantly laid out and very comfortable. Huge garden for everyone to enjoy, Putlake’s farm within walking distance kept us occupied for 2 days and easy access to Swanage for the perfect beach for this age group. Angela was a wonderful host, thoughtful and responds very quickly to queries. We will definitely return in the future.

We've had a fab week at Langton Matravers. The house worked perfectly for us as a family. Big bedrooms and lovely bathrooms, plus a fantastic garden to enjoy the weather in. Could have just done with a little bit more garden furniture, slightly comfier seating and maybe some sun loungers. Other than that is was perfect 👌�

It's a lovely house with plenty of walks from the front door.

It's a really good living space: the bedrooms are spacious and the open plan ground floor is sunny and warm. The large garden and outdoor seating is perfect for eating outside and relaxing. Walks are easy from the house to the coastal path for fossil hunting.

Perfect place to stay for families getting together

A lovely clean and well equipped property ideal for 8 people. Great location with village amenities and lots of lovely walks right from the doorstep. Great communication and kindness from the owner. Fully recommend. We had a lovely stay!

Ideally placed for walks around Swanage and Studland and for visiting Corfe Castle and Tyneham Village. The house has been renovated and decorated to a high standard and is beautifully warm. Would definitely recommend.

Isle of Purbeck is a real gem

This property was perfect for us. A large group of people, ages ranging from 16 to 88, and a small dog. It was secure for the dog and the ground floor bedroom and bathroom was perfect for my elderly mother who can't climb stairs. The large reception/kitchen/dining allowed mum to watch eastenders (!) and a group to chat/play games without leaving whoever was on cooking duty abandoned in the kitchen. The property is modern and clean and is convenient for Swanage and lots of other attractions and is within walking distance of the coast. There is a local pub and shop just around the corner. Perfect!

The house is presented very well with lots of space. Very well situated for local places of interest. Angela provides us with basic essentials to get us going. The house had everything we needed. We will definitely return

The house was decorated to a very high standard and spotlessly clean throughout. It is set in a peaceful village location with a plenty of room inside and in the garden. The bedrooms were very spacious and very comfortable. The booking process was very easy and Angela was very helpful. The breakfast items left for us were very welcome and a nice touch. We would love to return in the future

A lovely clean house with big bedrooms and lots of space. Lots of great equipment for cooking and entertaining too. We also took advantage of the shed for storing our bikes.

We met friends here - great layout to the home - very spacious lots of seating for a larger group. Wood burning fire with plenty of logs supplied ( a furry resident was in the outside log bin - not sure what ...but it is the countryside). Kitchen was modern with some welcome goodies in the fridge. Bathrooms were modern with lovely fittings - showers great and plenty of hot water for all of us. One of the bedrooms and bathroom is downstairs so great for people who may have difficulties with stairs. A short 2 minute walk through the alley to the pub and the shop was great. Plenty of parking at the house too. A short drive takes you into Swanage and Studland and the area is lovely with lots to do. The garden has seating too so would be great in the summer. I would have given this 5 stars but there were a few things that in our view could have been done better. Firstly access - the owner asks you to call when you are 15 minutes away for the access to the home so she can meet you there- this was inconvenient and when we had a US phone with limited signal - a keyless entry or coded entry would have been better. When we arrived the owner Angela had just arrived too. The house was cold and she told us she had just put the heating on. It took a while for the house to warm up. As it was a cold wintery January Day and the owner lives locally it would have been nice if she had gone to the house earlier in the day to put the heating on to give us that warm cozy feel on arrival. Also in the freezer there was a drawer full of other peoples food - the draw was marked private but it was off putting to have someone else's food there. In the master bedroom someone else's t shirt was in the drawer. Although in the main the cleaning was good the owner should look between the cushions on the settees. Finally some nice toiletries/soaps would be nice in the bathrooms - the showers had some large body wash bottles which were half full in them (sorry but I find it odd using other peoples personal stuff) but it would be nice to have some new individual bottles and some shampoo/conditioner/lotion and individual soap bars which you can get easily on the internet for hygiene purposes and for that 5 star feel.
