A good night's rest in a beautiful small French town.

A very decent place to stay in Saint Flour, a town a bit out of the way but well worth visiting. Accommodation was basic but comfortable, quiet, and thoroughly sufficient for a night's stay while driving through an exceptionally beautiful part of France. There's parking which was great since we were driving.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The little bar is lovely. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Parking was close by. Location was excellent.

St Flour , a great base to explore the Central Massif

Clean simple bedrooms. Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in the bar. The manager was very helpful when we had a problem with our vehicle the next morning and found us a garage open on Saturday that not only towed us in but fixed the problem and got us going again within two hours. St Flour looks like a place that deserves more exploration. A very attractive village high in the Massif Central. Several nice local restaurants and bakeries and easy free parking in the town centre.

Adequate stay in dying top of town. Sad to see decline but hotel still okay.

I was first here 27 years ago. One star hotel so did not expect much but nostalgic to see town again. It was fine, really. Just not luxury and it doesn’t promise that. Parking in locked garage only 8 euro. Breakfast would be perfect if coffee were not out of machine and more black teas available for English tourists. Great bread and croissants.

Noise outside of yelling men, kids. Same problem in 1998. Culture of town?

Low budget place to lay your head for one night.

The property was in a good location with a good restaurant nearby. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The furnishings in the room were cheap. The bathroom glazed, exterior door had no curtain. The room felt like a converted fire escape route as there were illuminated fire exit signs and escape steps leading down from the bathroom. Very strange! It was a bank holiday Monday when we stayed and the whole place was closed and deserted so we didn’t get to see much. That’s no fault of the hotel though.

receptionist ( owner ) very miserable guy lady at the bar great, rooms are hit and miss some good some bad, we had 3 rooms booked I had the superior room but was by far the worse, shower head doesn’t fit the holder, sower doors don’t close and very small shower.. no curtains can’t leave window open due to store room opposite.. not a nice place doesn’t represent pictures .. not good value.

A welcome break in the journey.

Breakfast was very good. Good coffee and patisserie. There is a truly excellent restaurant just down the road - Chez Genevieve. Worth staying here just for that.

We didn't use the hotel garage but parking in the square was OK, but a bit far from the hotel. The shower was poor, but towels were excellent

Enjoyed our stay, and time in the city

We stopped over on the way south - pleasant hotel, with clean, comfy rooms. There was a jazz festival in St Flour the night we stayed which was a nice find with artists playing on streets around the city - despite the festival the rooms were quiet and the central location meant we could enjoy the main sights. We really enjoyed our night in the city and good selection at breakfast (make sure you turn on the water bath to heat it up before boiling your egg!)

We'd requested rooms together and were two floors apart, they apologised on arrival that we weren't closer but i imagine the jazz festival in town meant it was difficult to met our request. Also my husband initially thought there was no bathroom in the room, the bathroom door looked like the door to a cupboard - very funny!.
