Hotel du Nord - Ville-Haute

Breakfast was great value at less than €10. Best apricot jam ever and good selection of cheese and ham with such lovely fresh bread. Couldn't get my egg right in the bain marie but it hardly mattered as I just ate everything else. The parking is very secure but the access is on a different street to the hotel entrance. Get the Sat Nav set for Rue De Agials for the entrance to car park. Directions to the hotel don't work as it is on a pedestrianised street.

It's just great.

Garage parking for motorcycle or car. Location closed to centre. Very french traditional, has its own charm.

Slightly dark in places, perhaps gentle music in background at breakfast.

Very central and also with secure parking. Staff helpful and also let us checkin early. Nice breakfast.

The rooms were small but expected at price.

I was first here 27 years ago. One star hotel so did not expect much but nostalgic to see town again. It was fine, really. Just not luxury and it doesn’t promise that. Parking in locked garage only 8 euro. Breakfast would be perfect if coffee were not out of machine and more black teas available for English tourists. Great bread and croissants.

Noise outside of yelling men, kids. Same problem in 1998. Culture of town?
