Springwood Meditation Centre 春木禪修渡假中心

If you bear in mind that this is primarily a meditation centre, and are mindful of this, then it is the perfect tranquil escape. I love being able to take part in the morning and evening meditation sessions, spending the remainder of my day walking in the Daisy Hill Conservation Park and just relaxing.

Some guests are disrespectful of the fact that this is a Buddhist temple, a place of peace and stillness – mobile phones in meditation class, loud conversations when others are trying to enjoy the quiet, not cleaning after themselves in the kitchen.

Quiet bushland setting is very relaxing.

The place itself was beautiful, I sat in the clearing watching wallabies.

Unfortunately, I did not feel very welcome, there was hardly anybody there. The lady that was there at check in was not welcoming at all, in fact could not have been less interested. The programme of events was limited. It was in the middle of nowhere. I was very much looking forward to forward to a meditation centre as I have done these before but unfortunately I left after 1 night. There were no cooking facilities and nowhere to get food nearby. Maybe it’s better in the summer months.
