About this cabin rental
There is plenty of space for you and your nearest and dearest in this 3,000 sq ft 4 bed/4 bath home. Whether you are entertaining friends and family in the open-concept living and dining space, quietly curled up with a book in front of the cathedral fireplace, or enjoying a relaxing soak in the brand new, outdoor hot tub after a long day on the slopes—this place has something for everybody! (Note: While we are new to HomeAway, we have been regularly renting our home and are superhosts on the other platform with over 100 stays).
Sleeping Arrangements: First floor has two bedrooms, one with a full size bed and private bath and the second with a king-size bed and direct access to the main first floor bathroom, upstairs is a small loft and a second master bedroom with king-size bed, full bathroom, in-room jacuzzi tub, and private balcony. The basement includes a 4th bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds as well as an additional living area with pull-out sofa bed and shared full bath.
There are fun activities to keep you entertained in southern Vermont all year-round! Some of our favorites include:
Winter: Skiing!!!!! You have your choice between several great ski slopes including: Mount Snow (8 miles), Stratton Mountain (11 miles), Bromley Mountain (23 miles), and Okemo Mountain (40 miles). For those who don’t downhill ski, there are also great x-country ski and snowshoe trails located just down the road at Somerset Reservoir and Grout Pond. Other fun winter activities include snowmobile tours, ice-skating, tubing, and sledding.
Summer: Hiking, bicycling, camping and picnicking in the Green Mountain National Forest. Swimming and fishing at Harriman Reservoir or Somerset Reservoir—additionally, jet skis, kayaks, canoes, aluminum fishing boats and more, can be rented by the day on Harriman Reservoir. Golfing, white water rafting, and horseback riding.
Spring/Fall Activities: Fall foliage and leaf peeping tours, covered bridge tours, sugarhouse tours, Horseback riding, hiking, bicycling, and picnicking.
Fun Anytime: Winery and Brewery tours, antiquing and shopping, bird watching, outdoor events, markets, and festivals.

House was amazing! Pictures dont do it justice! Loved everything about it.
Rooms are large and comfortable. Very nice layout. We had a blast. Everyone loved the hot tub! Already planning to go back next year.

The cabin is as described, very spacious and in a great location. We spent a week and got to thoroughly enjoy the house and surrounding areas. Even though the cleaning team can definitely improve, the hosts are extremely responsive and super easy to work with

The property was in a very pretty forested location and had a wonderful deck and kitchen/living room area. Loved having meals all together there! The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated all the games in the living room! We came in August, so definitely the off season. We had the impression that no one had stayed here in a while. We had a bit of a linen issue - when we got into bed the first night we realized the beds were not made, just a blanket put on top. A little odd. Then there were not enough towels - hand towels or bath towels. I would have brought more had I known. We eventually found some in the dryer - and I should have thought to look there sooner. We couldn't find any bathmats for the bathroom upstairs and the down stairs basement had a bit of a musty smell to it. On Saturday evening, the host reached out to us, saying a neighbor complained about our noise levels - most of our group was inside at this point, with a few of us around the campfire talking. We hadn't been loud or playing music, though there appeared to be a party next door. After saying this to the host - they were super apologetic and had good communication - but again it was odd. The mountainside/neighborhood felt abandoned, yet neighbors were still complaining about noise that wasn't even us. I can't speak to staying here in the winter - which I feel would be much better, but kind or a strange stay in August
