Belmont at Beechworth 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 couples

This is a lovely place and super great if you're going with another couple or maybe a small family. It's so close to the centre of Beechworth which is very handy if you're returning home from a night out.

Here’s what I didn’t like: The TV sound. The place has an LG TV, soundbar and DVD player with a movies, which is a nice touch. We put on The Life of Brian but the sound was really poor and we couldn’t watch it properly. That definitely needs improving. The coffee machine. It’s a proper espresso machine which is a nice idea, but not that practical if you’re not used to making coffee that way. I failed a coffee, and that's the most important meal of the day. Something like a Nespresso machine would probably work better because it's easy to use, easy to clean, reliable, and considered a high end touch in my opinion. The checkout instructions. Checkout at 11:00am is great and much appreciated. The note from the hosts said cleaners would arrive at 11:15am and asked that all dishes be washed, dried and put away, and that rubbish be taken out to the outside bins. I understand wanting guests to tidy up, but the tone of the note felt a bit heavy, especially with warnings about extra charges. It also makes you wonder how you’re supposed to know dishes from previous guests were washed properly. Overall it’s a great place, but the TV sound and the tone of the message from the owners took the shine off a bit. I probably wouldn’t stay again... but you should. I gave it a 9/10 because of the TV and coffee machine.
