Honeyguide Tented Safari Camps - Mantobeni

Everything! I do not understand some of the negative reviews, they seem very picky and unnecessary! This hotel/camp/lodge - exceeded our expectations. The staff were all lovely and SO helpful. The meals were beautiful, my wife is quite fussy with meats so chose the vegetarian option most nights, leading her to try new foods which even they were 10/10. George in particular (our game driver) was exceptional, very informative, a good laugh and wanted to help us see as many animals and moments as possible! It was unusually cold during our visit, but they provided heaters, turned on our electric blankets ready for our evening arrival and helped where they could. The tents were noisy with the wind but it added to the feel of staying in the middle of nature and the national park! We got very lucky with 3 visits from the elephants at the pool! 2 mid-morning and 1 evening (a herd of 9 or 10). We would recommend this camp to anyone, and we will definitely return. Remember to enjoy the experience, look up at the stars and milkyway, look all around at nature and the wildlife, and enjoy the knowledge from the experienced game drivers.

Nothing!! The ONLY thing - to manage peoples expectations.. please remember this is a lodge in the middle of a national park. They cannot be a 5* hotel! We had the electric half go off one night, but they done everything the could to ensure ours/and the other guests stays were not affected. It is important that they respect that they are within the animals/wildlife and they do this well.

All meals were top class. Staff were so obliging. Fantastic time.

The camp is situated in a beautiful area

The tent's bathroom was cold and draughty. Hot water only got hot during day time. Some of the staff like Mavis were helpful and friendly while others left much to be desired.

We had no hot water until our last day. Most uncomfortable nothing like my previous stay 4 weeks earlier. The hot water issue was reported 3 times before they got to the problem.

Love the property it was just poor maintenance
