About this apartment rental
House with 2 bedrooms, up to 5 beds, kitchen, living room, balcony bedroom and comfortable terrace with sea view. After having parked your vehicle in the square in front of the ancient baronial palace OF THE JUDGE flanked by the particular pebble ascent (all called silica, where the local men, almost all fishermen, on days or hours not useful " to throw" their boats into the sea, stopped and sat idle or in the classic squatting position) just squeeze into the narrow vault and walk more or less a hundred meters and a few dozen steps to find yourself in front of a peculiar door with three steps: this is the house called I PALUMMIELLI (which takes its name from the hamlet farthest from the center of the town) restructured with a maniacal attention to detail in the utmost respect of its originality. There is a connecting entrance with a small corridor that announces the kitchen lounge with fireplace and bathroom and the large terrace with amazing sea views and delightfully transformed into a place of absolute relaxation. The upper floor houses two bedrooms with bathrooms.

This was our 2nd time staying here and it is just as we remembered it, beautiful. We'll get this out of the way first, the house is clean, tidy, functional and well supplied with basic necessities. Check-in and out was a breeze. Your hosts, Gabriella and Gianfranco, will go out of their way to make your stay as great as possible. Do take advantage of their restaurant, it was some of the best food we had.The view from the balcony is absoluetly stunning! At night we could watch volcanic eruptions from Stromboli and the most spectacular sunsets. Belmonte for us was the ideal homebase for exploring both the mountains around Sila and all the popular beach areas during the day and then have a quiet retreat to come back to and enjoy away from the crowds. Day trip to see the Riace Bronzes or the Cattolico in Stilo or a 2000 year old bridge nearby. Scilla, Tropea and Pizzo are great day trips as well. A big thank you to Gabriella for her help with my project. We cannot recommend this place enough.

This was our 2nd time staying here and it was even more enjoyable this time. First, let me get this out of the way, the home was absolutely clean and just as beautiful as we remembered it. Your hosts Gabriella and Gianfranco go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. I do recommend their restaurant too, one of the best meals we had.The house has the most incredible view of the ocean from the balcony while we enjoyed our dinner or a drink unwinding from day trips. This is a great homebase to explore Sila Park and the mountain comunes and the beach towns as well. Tropea, Pizzo, Scilla and Reggio Calabria are all doable day trips (the Riace Bronzes and Gelato Cesare outside the museum are worth it). Whatever you choose, Gabriella is a great resource for suggestions.This place is one i am willing to, and do, comeback to for the wonderful experience. Again, thank you Gabriella and Gianfranco!

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem kleinen Ort mitten im historischem Zentrum. Sie ist nur über diverse Treppen mit ungleichen Stufen zu erreichen. Die Wohnung gehört zu einem Hotelprojekt, so dass man -wenn man möchte- auch auf dem "Dorfplatz" bzw. dort in einem Restaurant frühstücken und zu Abend essen (es gibt ein täglich wechselndes Menu) kann. Im Übrigen gibt es nur ein weiteres Restaurant, dass fußläufig zu erreichen ist, jedoch jetzt im Oktober 2021 auch nur an den Wochenenden geöffnet hatte. Wer mehr Auswahl möchte, muss den Berg einige km runter. In der Woche unseres Aufenthalts wurden noch zwei "Mitmach" Abende angeboten, bei denen wir zusammen mit den anderen Gästen nach Anleitung von Gabriella Pizza und Nudeln gekocht haben.
Unsere Wohnung selbst war sehr, sehr sauber, originell eingerichtet und es entsprach alles der Beschreibung. Die Küche enthält das nötigste, wer dort ein Menu kochen möchte, wird allerdings aufgrund der nur vorhandenen Grundausstattung Schwierigkeiten bekommen.
Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist unglaublich schön, insgesamt ist Kalabrien sehr grün und die Aussichten von den Bergen auf das blaue Meer sind nahezu überall traumhaft.

Mit viel Liebe beherbergen Gianfranco und Gabriella ihre Gäste. In ihrem Restaurant gibt es wunderbares Essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
