Riad Dar Victoria, A house in the heart of an old Medina

Dar Victoria is one of the most spectacular residences for rental when traveling to Fes. We were greeted by two friendly and accommodating house managers, Kareem and Mohammed. They quickly served us “Moroccan Whiskey,” which is a fancy name for hot mint green tea (as a green tea lover in The States, this quickly became a daily favorite). The meals that were provided by both of the house managers were FAR better than what you would get at a local restaurant—I would highly ask them to cook you your meal of choice rather than going out every night. If you need a snack, fresh fruit, yogurt, and olives were readily available for consumption. Rooms at this restaurant were clean, comfortable, and kept neat by house staff. Each bathroom comes equipped with fully functional blow dryers, bathrobes, lovely smelling soaps and hair products, and hot towels. Storage space is fabulous if you are like me and like to hang your clothes you bring with you. Sheets are soft and extra blankets are provided for those who like to sleep with one. The main table of the home is a wonderful place to sit with friends and family for tea or dinner. If you desire wine (as Americans typically do in a dry country), just ask Kareem and Mohammad and they will provide amazing Moroccan wine. We will surely return to this residence in the near future.
