Perfect for a couple of seniors who like to walk - but not too much - and take in the breathtaking landscapes on foot and by car. The local population was 100 sheep to each human and we enjoyed the ratio very much. Cottage was outstandingly comfortable without exception, and well equipped, including information about sights and walks in the region. Hosts were always friendly and helpful to a fault. Highest recommendation possible.

What an amazing little bolthole set in the gorgeous rural rolling hills of Wales . Despite the size of the cottage, it is equipped fully with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment, including dishwasher,2 ring halogen hob, full oven, toaster kettle and fridge. Plenty of dishes, cups glasses etc. Small breakfast bar with 4 stools, then futon sofa and chair with lovely log burner and small TV.The bedrooms are very quaint, gorgeous bedding and lots of storage.Possibly the best area of the cottage is the garden and outside area! Just stunning and keep discovering different corners. It is beautifully designed and planted and a joy to just be in the setting and admire the views and simplicity of nature.Additionally, there is a shed acting as utility room, with washing machine, dryer and small freezer, along with further equipment Personally, I was very sad to leave and felt this was the perfect little retreat to restore and enjoy the fabulous scenery , as well as use as base to explore the stunning surrounding areas. Even spent an evening lying outside star gazing! We were a party of family members 78 to 13 years old and all loved our break, spending days visiting zip world, Cwmorthin lake for wild swimming, Llangollen , Chirk and Oswestry .Look forward to revisiting and thank Andrew and Fiona for sharing their little cottage

We enjoyed a wonderful week cycling to the local attractions - very quiet roads and the climbs were rewarded with panoramic views. Andrew and Fiona were great hosts and have a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area. The cottage was very well equipped.

Brilliant place to stay, had everything we needed. Loved eco friendly the property is, including the cleaning products. Hosts were lovely, property nice and clean (just a couple of fresh cobwebs that cant be helped whilst out in the country). Only downside was the ev charger wasnt compatible and the property is a little off the beaten track (though this is to be expected in this beautiful part of Wales.

From the very first moment I sat on the porch of the cottage, time seemed to pause. Hours passed unnoticed as I simply breathed—deep, cleansing breaths of cool fresh air my lungs had been quietly craving for days. The world around me was perfectly still, hushed in a way that felt sacred. All I wanted was to sit, unmoving, and let the serenity wrap itself around me.The view before me was breathtaking in its simplicity: rolling hills, endless skies, and that golden early sunlight brushing softly against my skin. The scent of fresh morning coffee drifted up like a gentle echo of comfort, grounding me in the moment. And then there's the cottage itself—an experience all its own. More than just a place to stay, it radiated warmth and intention. Every element, from the plush throws over the armchairs to the stack of books on the shelf, felt like a loving gesture. It was as if the space had been prepared not just to meet your needs, but to anticipate the ones you didn’t know you had. The fireplace waited patiently to be lit, and little details—thoughtful, charming—made the whole place feel genuinely cared for. It’s rare to find a space where your entire being—body, mind, and soul—can finally exhale. This was one of those rare places. Nothing flashy, nothing loud, just... right. A quiet kind of perfection that lingers long after you leave.
