We have been goint to this same location for many years as it is so beautiful but this was the first time staying in this property and it definitely did not disappoint, in location, cleanliness and comfort, we had everything and more we needed. The whole experience from booking to departure was an easy pleasurable one. We definitely recommend it

What a great little apartment! The location is perfect, stunning views of the beach and sea. The balcony is the perfect place to watch the beautiful sunsets with a glass of wine. We had a fab week away, the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Gilly is a great host.

Loved the position, we enjoyed our meals on the balcony, listening to the surf, watching the board riders, generally enjoying the view. During the day we either walked the beach (be mindful of the tides, nearly caught one day!) or chose the well worn path over the hill, where, thanks to the locals we discovered the coffee stop en route to the next village! The coffee shop soon became our destination rather than our waypoint!! The local store was a gem, there appeared to be nothing they could not supply-we often took their sandwiches out for lunch, it was an absolute gem, lovely staff as well! Super holiday Trevor and. What an amazing place, it was clean , comforatable, had everything we needed and great location. Amazing veiws from the balcony. Ideal place to stay to expolre cornwall, we visited landsEnd, st Ives and the seal sanctuary. Porthtowan beach was great for body boarding and exploring rock pools and lovely walks. Would definatly recomend this place. Just amazing!!!

Our stay was very nice, well equipped apartment got everything in it for the stay except a washing machine, close to the beech, pub and breakfast cafe - only downside was had to put 3 pound in electric meter along with owner left 2 pound - no big deal really but price paid would of expected that to be included - we loved it and previous year 2022 stayed 2 doors away.

Absolutely fabulous time staying in Porthtowan. The accommodation was brilliant. Everything you needed and loved the veranda looking over the beach. beds were comfortable and accommodation equipped for all of our needs. Contact with the owner was great. Have just spent a fabulous week at Surfsounds. The apartment was excellent with its position next to the stunning beach. Views from the balcony are amazing. Porthtowan is a lovely seaside village. Our hosts provided excellent directions to the property . We have booked to go back next year.

First time my family and I have stayed in this part of Cornwall, but wont be our last. The property is in an ideal location, 1 min stroll to the beach.. if that. The views are stunning from the little balcony, with views of the beach, sea and adjacent cliffs. The property was one of the few that allowed dogs to stay and this was amazing for us to bring our 2 very small fur babies. We as a family cant wait to stay here again - the atmosphere of the place is amazing, families on the beach watching the sunset go down having bbq's and no mess left behind. The only criticism I had was that the property decor is dated (a little lick of paint and filler)and that the sink is cracked in bathroom which could be a potential hygiene issue. Another improvement would def be an outside tap to wash off the sand before entering the property.. however these are small issues and has not in the slightest deterred me and my family from returning to this lovely place.

Great place to stay and you get mesmerised by the view surfing from 5.30 am till 10pm at night . Lovely feel to the apartment really homely with all you would need for your stay , bed upstairs really comfortable and good ventilation if it was to get really hot. Kitchen well equipped and shower over bath great when you get back from body boarding. All In we had a fantastic week and would return to this stunning location thanks Barry and marita

We had one of our best ever Cornish holidays here. The location is perfect with a first floor balcony looking out over the beach, giving a grandstand view of the crashing waves, surfers and sunsets. The property itself is full of character and comfortable, providing for all of our needs, as well as nice touches such as a pair of binoculars, books and games and even a few little surf boards, which we didn't use. It's right on the coast path with exhilarating walks in both directions. There is even a chic bar beneath serving terrific food. You do need to keep a bag of £1 coins handy for the electricity meter and I have docked a couple of stars from the cleaning rating after finding an alarming build up of old chocolate wrappers, crumbs and even mouldy food, as well as the inevitable sand, under the sofa, spotted while doing my morning exercises, probably because the sofa itself is quite hard to move (pictures available). This did nothing to spoil our holiday (it took only a few minutes to clean up) and overall the appartment has a lovely, homely feel. We were very sad to leave it.

Fantastic little place. Superb views of the sea and beautiful beach. Really handy to be so close to the centre of this small village. A very well equipped accommodation, everything you could possibly need and plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The double bed was super comfy and you can hear the sea from the upstairs bedroom. Communication from the owner was fantastic, really fast to reply all my silly questions and check in process was easy. The electric meter was not a problem, just make sure you have a steady supply of £1 coins. Cost us about £3-£4 a day which we felt was very reasonable. Had a lovely week and will be returning very soon. Make sure you visit the Victory Inn for food! Amazing home cooked food and warm welcoming service.

Property was in a great location overlooking the beach and local pubs/restaurants, local shop and fish and chip shop were very good and close by. We didn’t use the double bed upstairs because the stairs were very steep and not great for negotiating during the night. Everything else was ok for our week.

Location can't be beaten and the beach was lovely every morning with the dog rain or shine. Great walks from the door. Apartment was good, small but contained everything you'd need. I honestly believe the £1 elc meter no gas should be included in the description before the decision to let is made. The upper bedroom on the maisonette was accessible by quite steep staircase so we chose to sleep in twin room making everything on one level. This was ok for 5 nights but as they are children's mattresses wouldn't have been much good for longer. The location is its main feature and that cannot be beaten. The balcony in summer would be a great asset.

Brilliant apartment in a stunning location. Well situated in Porthtowan which made an ideal springboard for exploring Cornwall. Communication with the owner was easy, apartment spotless and overall just a quaint place to unwind. We had the pleasure of Storm Ciara bashing the coastline and the view from the balcony was great. I could keep going on about the positives of the property, we highly recommend the “Unicorn on the Beach” great place local to the property (good vegan options) and the “Victory Inn” is another good place to eat and drink. Would love to go back and stay even longer, we loved it.

We had a great time in Porthtowan and stay at the house. It had all that we needed, nice and cosy for the evenings and mornings, but just had to get out there as the beach is just as nice in chilly November/December as it would be in the summer! The local pub, bar and shop are all very close. Would definitely stay again!
