Good enough, not great

Location, location, location! Cleanliness, spacious room, responsive staff

Breakfast! It was more American than Mexican, mostly bland and somewhat boring. Even the coffee was consistently weak, as was the hot chocolate. When we are in Mexico, we expect good Mexican food. There were good restaurants all around Oaxaca. Holiday inn needs to upgrade theirs

Central location, good beds but gym disfunctional

Good beds, central location

Disappointing gym, only four old machines and two of them broken. Staff had no interest in repairing them, or doing something. Breakfast mediocre.

Hotel with a small pool and a covered parking in an excellent location to visit Oaxaca

We loved the location of the hotel which was super convenient and really appreciated having the pool on those very hot Oaxacan days, with a 4 years-old it was really a must. The room is relatively big and the service was good. The covered parking that was free for guests was also great since it was so sunny and hot while we were there.

The breakfast was relatively varied with hot and cold options but not of the best quality, in any case we were able to have a decent meal before hitting the streets for sight seeing. The beds were a little bit on the hard side but linens were comfortable and of excellent quality. The biggest downside for us was the fact that the rooms were not equipped with mini fridges which would have been nice only to put our water bottles in and perhaps to keep a few leftovers. The ice bucket and ice machine are very outdated features.

Everything! The area was quiet yet walking distance to the central area and restaurants and a nice park nearby. The staff were friendly and professional. Comfortable and clean rooms. We had a king suite, which was perfect for 4 nights. The breakfast buffet is the best I've had at a Holiday Inn, with very attentive staff and a beautiful outdoor terrace to eat breakfast. Also, it was easy to get change from the front desk for our larger bills. What we appreciated most was the Mexican influence at this property. The beautiful historical hotel made us feel we were in Oaxaca. We loved it and would return.

Room was spacious and exactly as advertised. the air conditioning was fully functional not one of the centrally controlled politically correct systems. but then that is why we picked holiday inn Oaxaca on the first place. Breakfast was very good with a reasonable selection of items and staff was attentive and helpful. They arranged a taxi hire for us too.

Did not like the dorky colliding bathroom door positioning.

Comfortable hotel with very good location, well-cleaned rooms, but awful breakfast.

The location of the hotel is very good, on the edge of the centre so quieter but within easy walking distance of all the shops and sights. The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning of them was first rate.

The breakfast is atrocious, which is a shock considering that you are staying in Oaxaca city which is world famous for its cuisine and chefs. The coffee was horrible and the breakfast was basic, insufficient, and terribly cooked, for example, the refried beans were all watery and tasteless, as was the food as a whole. After enduring two breakfasts and feeling sick we opted to eat breakfast in the centre and had great coffee and great food outside of the hotel. There are many excellent restaurants to eat amazing food in Oaxaca city, and also excellent coffee places not far from the hotel at all. This must be an anomaly about the hotel, which is really very good and I cannot understand why the breakfast is so bad given one's location and the overall quality of the hotel.

Spacious comfortable room/bed, great facilities throughout, spotlessly clean. Super breakfast and friendly staff (genuinely) from day 1 allowing us to take room early. Close enough to walk to Centro but away from noise. 👍👍
