Vila Margareta

The owner (host) is very nice and helpful, tries to make the guests comfortable. We received complimentary homemade drinks (tuica and visinata) which were very good. He also helped us with wood and coals for the BBQ. The villa is about 600m off the main road. It is a dirt road, so be careful with your car. You cannot walk to the city center, it's too far, but the good thing is that you have absolutely no neighbours. The facilities inside are very nice, especially the ones in the kitchen. There is everything you need, including an automatic Delonghi coffee machine. Also, the living room space is nice, big and it provides board games, a sound system etc. In the summer, the rooms on the ground floor are nice and cool. The ones on the first floor, however, become quite warm. There are 4 dogs on the property, all very friendly. However, it can happen that they will bark a lot at night. They sleep close to the house, so you will definitely hear them barking at night, especially if you are a light sleeper.

The upper terrace was not looked after properly and used more for storage rather than being a nice place to relax. The whole courtyard of the villa is huge, but has the appearance of an abandoned place. It is not pictured in the photographs. You get used to it, but at first it surprises you. At the end, I would call it "rustic". The wifi signal is poor on the ground floor. The hot water is funky, coming out very hot at first, then fluctuating. When 2 people are using hot water at the same time, it's very difficult. This is probably due to the boiler. Also, there is a smell of "overheating pipes" when using the shower. The bathrooms of the upper floor rooms are difficult to "ventilate" because they have small windows which lead into the living room.

Radu was so pleasant and nice and the vila is nice and coasy, comfortable and feels like home. We had a tasty breakfast prepared by Radu and all in all we had a lovely short stay. Thank you Radu!

The host is very nice and welcoming, the area is perfect for a retreat during summer.

It can get cold at night (we went there in winter). If you are very sensitive to cold, maybe not the best choice for winter.
