The whole idea is brilliant & very well executed. Staff were all very nice & even upgraded our accommodation due to heavy rain.

Kitchen could have been cleaner - sometimes due to other guests but at times it was only us & staff onsite but there was leftover food / chicken bones etc on the floors & tables. Staff also had their families / kids around a lot, which we thought was very nice but did make it difficult to want to use the pool / communal areas as they were very busy & noisy.

Nice concept, wish we could have stayed longer. This place had all we needed, it was clean, comfortable and the concept was great! We got a quick tour and introduction to the concept. Hope to come back one day. Great location to go to Kruger national park.

If you’re a light sleeper, you might wake up from dogs barking at night.

Super cozy and welcoming place. The stuff was incredible sweet and the hangout around the fire at night was super to socialize and chill. There are super cute cats and dogs as well. The best part was definitely that everything was out of recycled and reusable material and that they had a daycare to help local kids there. So with your stay there you even contribute to a wonderful cause!

The resort is beautifully designed using rubbish and sustainable materials. The stay there is okay for tour groups who only want to spend 1 to 2 nights there. There is a common area and a bar where you can have a drink. The showers and toilets are clean and the staff are nice.

The food is very bad and far too expensive. For breakfast there was only tea, coffee and muesli that you could take but no milk or yoghurt or anything else. We bought our own things. There were price lists for food and transport in the hut. However, we were charged 4 times the price. For a traditional meal of pap and sausage we had to pay 200R. In Kruger Park it costs 60R. When we asked about the change in prices, we were told that this was the decision of the manager. The pool contained hardly any water and was not usable. As soon as a group of people sat at the bar in the evening, it was noisy and difficult to fall asleep. There were power cuts every day and no substitutes like candles or solar lamps to replace them. You couldn't take a shower during that time either. Very unfortunate. A good idea to support local people but not well organised.
