Villa Tibouchina

A beautiful villa set in a quiet neighbourhood above the old town in Albufeira. The villa is really homely with great living areas and bedrooms and so well equipped, a real home from home. The outside area is perfect to just sit and relax the whole day if you want to in either the shade or the sun and the covered dining area was perfect at all times of the day. The pool was amazing too big enough for the kids to play in but for the grown ups to just chill and cool off in. Owners Paulo and Mandy are lovely, meeting us at check in and kept in contact during our stay in case there was anything we needed.

A lovely villa with all the things you'd expect / hope to find, to make your stay enjoyable. There were lots of nice touches to get you started, so you didn't have to spend the first day stocking up on supplies. Some of the extra touches were some cold beers in the fridge and coffee capsules for the morning (options of tea and instant coffee too), clothes washing and dish washing products as well as dishwasher tablets, if you don't want to wash up by hand. The hosts did a quick tour with quick but good explanations on the key items such as how to use the Aircon, TV, washing machine, Dishwasher so we knew lots of things without having to think too hard. There were also instructions on laminate in various locations (near the items they were describing) as well as a guidebook to the villa and surrounding area The beds and sofas were comfy, and the bedrooms, showers and bathrooms were great, and had product in them so you could get going before buying things if you wanted something specific. Following on from the nice touches of earlier there was lots of toilet paper, and even sun cream of various strengths too in the bathrooms. The kitchen was lovely and perfect for self-catering. There was also a well-stocked outdoor barbeque area, for those that like outdoor cooking! We chose to eat out every day as this was a holiday, but on the rare occasion we needed to we could use the oven, or microwave or induction stove top. Location wise the villa was perfect for us to get to and from the local store, Marina, the beach or the old town, and we walked everywhere, but the roads are steep and will get your heart rate up! There was nothing to fault with the hosts or their Villa at all!

If you're being picky, the pool is small for doing lengths, and definitely not one for diving into, but for cooling off after sunbathing or a hot day, it's perfect! There is a bigger shared pool a short walk away, but we weren't that worried and never bothered to go and find it. For us the sea and the pool were more than enough!

Mandy and Paulo brilliant hosts. Villa is lovely and rooms are really nice. Nice and quiet. Well stocked super market five minutes walk away with a bar next to it.

Unfortunately I suffer with knee problems and villa is half way up a steep hill. But we coped as veiws from villa are good.

Lovely home from home with everything you need! Mandy and Paulo are great hosts and want to make sure you enjoy your holiday. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Air conditioning in bedrooms and living room. Kitchen has everything needed including dishwasher, washing machine! TV with many channels. Outside area is lovely and like the villa spotlessly clean. Lovely sun trap and the pool there to help you cool down. BBQ area and outside seating is great for an evening in. Great location in a quiet residential area between the Marina and Old Town. 8 mins walk to well stocked supermarket with excellent fresh bakery. A further 5 mins walk and you hit the Old Town. 10 mins walk in the other direction and you are in the Marina.
