Ce n’est pas un hôtel mais une grande maison entièrement privatisée : la maison ainsi que la piscine sont rien que pour vous. La maison est ouverte et seules les chambres sont fermées. Quel bonheur de rentrer après une longue journée de visite à Angkor et de pouvoir se détendre au bord de la piscine ! Les chambres sont très grandes et conformes aux photos, les salles de bain sont simples mais fonctionnelles. Il y a également une petite cuisine sur la terrasse. Rany et son aide sont adorables et préparent chaque matin un très bon petit déjeuner avec plusieurs options. Rany peut également s’occuper du linge moyennant un petit supplément. La maison est en dehors du centre touristique. Elle est donc un peu excentrée, mais c’est justement ce qui lui donne cette atmosphère très calme et reposante.

Il n'y a pas grand chose de négatif mais il faut juste savoir qu'il n’y a pas vraiment de restaurants autour de la maison, il faut donc prévoir en conséquence pour le dîner. Il est cependant très facile de se faire livrer avec Grab, et Rany peut également préparer des repas. Comme il ne s’agit pas d’un hôtel, il n’y a pas de service de chambre quotidien, ce qui ne nous a personnellement pas posé de problème. Enfin, lorsqu’il pleut, les espaces communs étant principalement ouverts sur l’extérieur, il est un peu plus difficile de trouver un endroit confortable où tout le monde peut se retrouver pour papoter, faire un jeu de société...

Rany was such a welcoming host. She took care of us and was great to chat to and always responded quickly to any questions. We loved having the whole house to ourselves and loved the big bedrooms which felt luxurious and very comfortable. It’s a great house for relaxing in after being out and about. The beds were a generous size and super comfortable. We settled in quickly at The Fin and got used to living in luxury in the lovely 3-story house, cooling down in the pool, relaxing by the pool, enjoying generous-sized breakfasts with fresh fruit every morning on the top floor. One evening we also took the option of dinner on the top floor cooked by Rany which was delicious and a great option after being up early and out for the best part of the day on a sunrise temple tour. Rany also offers a laundry service which is very handy. We liked the location, living amongst locals, away from the centre of town, with our host just next door if we needed anything. We loved the little shop and cafe around the corner. We liked the fact that with the Grab app we were only a tuk tuk ride away from anywhere. We felt like we got to know Rany and Kea (who helps with housekeeping every day) and we didn’t want to leave at the end of our 5 night stay.

It can be hard to arrange pick ups for tours due to the location being on a smaller, dusty, bumpy road, outside the main centre of Siem Reap (though this is also part of the appeal of this location!). Some of the facilities in the room are a bit worn out, eg. I couldn’t get the room safe to work.
