Hotel La Punta

We spend the night there to take the ferry at 6am . The property is less than a block a way from the ferry . Property was clean , it had coffee ready in the morning . And gated parking for the car .

Walking distance to the water. Vehicle was inside behind walls. Boardwalk area was nice in the evening, lots of activity.

Nothing to do in the extreme heat besides the pool. Beach water is quite polluted. Not one lamp in the room.

Location was excellent for the ferry as we wanted a day trip and a meal in the evening. The swimming pool was lovely . The friendly receptionist alexis was so helpful too, thank you

It had AC. Water was hot in the shower. Enclosed parking. Excellent proximity to the ferry dock. If you are stuck in Punta Arenas for the night and have nowhere else to stay until you catch the ferry the next morning, this is an option.

The staff were very aloof (but kind). There were no rods on towel holders nor the toilet paper holder in the bathroom. No food options in the hotel. The pool was small and really not useable. Beds were very basic. We did find a small dark grocery store nearby to buy crackers and drinks for dinner (nothing else was open). The neighborhood rough at night. The hotel was on par with a very, very basic Motel 6 in the USA. I would recommend staying elsewhere. However it did have good AC.
