Villa La Roca - A fusion of modern and typical Andalucian architecture

Dejlig bolig, flot og usædvanligt indrettet i flere niveauer med aflukket have og lille pool (ikke handicap- eller småbørnsvenlig!). Vaskemaskine. Rigtig hyggelig lille by med sjov integration af små bjergbække i bybilledet. Rigtig god restaurant (Fogon del Malaver) i byen og mulighed for nødtørftige indkøb. Større indkøb med fordel i Ronda. Super vingård (Bodega Ramos-Paul) og olivenfarm (El Chantre) i nærområdet (11 min. kørsel) som man kunne besøge og handle hos (efter aftale). Sødt og hjælpsomt personale (Miranda).

Aircondition findes ikke i soveværelserne, men i “overetagen” med køkken og stue. Men airconditionen påvirkede heldigvis også klimaet i de lavere niveauer med soveværelser ligesom de tykke mure hjalp. Små myrer i køkkenet, som meget hurtigt gik i indkøbt brød. Hjalp at putte brød i vitrineskab sammen med kanel. Strømmen slår fra hvis man har aircondition gående sammen med fx ovn, kogeplader og vaskemaskine. Afhjælpes dog nemt via relæ i garagen (man bliver oplydt om det i velkomstmappen). Opvaskemaskinen er meget lille. Men ovenstående ændrede ikke på et skønt samlet indtryk og vi vil meget gerne komme igen.

We stayed at Villa la Roca for 12 nights. What a quirky, stunning house. It was very clean and comfortable. We had everything there that we needed. The pool was fantastic. Not big but was fine for us.

The property was perfect for us but some people may find the rocks on the side of the stairs a little tricky to get past and the master bedroom only had a curtain which restricted our privacy which wasn’t a problem as we went as a family.

The house is a great place to base yourself to explore the local area. The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of space, quiet, and amazing views! The aircon works well but it's only in the living areas. There were only two of us so the cold air was able to make it to the main bedroom, however, it may not be as comfortable in the smaller bedrooms. Our contact, Miranda, was super helpful when we had questions and gave us some great recommendations. The pool is completely private and not overlooked at all and is quite deep but that does make it cold to get into at first!

The mattress in the main bedroom is old and needs replacing and the pool is useable but cold!

Super maison atypique, avec plusieurs terrasses et une belle piscine, de beaux volumes intérieurs, bien située pour visiter plusieurs villes d'Andalousie.

Le seul petit souci était notre lit (matelas + oreiller) qui n'était pas assez confortable pour nous. Il y avait aussi certains éléments de la vaisselle qui étaient sales à notre arrivée et qu'il a fallu qu'on relave avant utilisation. Mais sinon rien à redire, tout était parfait.
