About this house rental

House dedicated to family stays preferably
Youth groups are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.
We appreciate receiving a short note about you at the time of booking (reason for stay, family composition, age of children)

Tastefully decorated.
In the heart of a town of art and history.
At 12km from D-Days beaches.
Very near from the great market, every friday morning
Nice fireplace

Family house, ideally located in a city of art and history in a very quiet street and close to all shops.
Large covered terrace overlooking a garden enclosed by stone walls which allows the summer to live outside. In winter the house is sunny and well heated. A large fireplace is also very pleasant. There is a large selection of books in the library (especially on the region). The living room with its 18th century woodwork allows you to watch TV or DVDs in an intimate space. The location of Valognes in the heart of the peninsula allows you to reach the three coasts
The east coast with the landing beaches and its remarkable villages (Barfleur and Saint Vast la Hougue), the west coast, its large sandy beaches and its harbors and La Hague or the little Ireland !
For those who love architecture, castles and manors are numerous in the Norman bocage. Valognes is also called "the little Norman Versailles". The local products are most often organically grown.

We came from USA to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. Our son is with the 75th Ranger Regiment of Special Operations in US Army. He was officially participating in the ceremonies throughout Northern France. The property was everything we had hoped for! PLUS we had the bonus of actually meeting our hostess, Agnes. She was gracious and accommodating. The gardens in the backyard were spectacular! My entire family cannot wait to go again-and see Agnes!

Great week spent at Agnes’ house. Lovely property with amazing garden. Weather can be uncertain in Normandy so the terrasse with its cover made a huge difference. Could eat outdoors every day even if raining! The house is also super well equipped which is great when travelling with a young family. Agnes is always available for questions and happy to help. We highly recommend this place and would definitely go back when visiting the region

We enjoyed our stay in this very old, but well-kept house very much. It is centrally located, but quiet nevertheless, and the huge garden was a paradise for our dog. Since it rained frequently, we loved to sit on the terrace under the roof. We would love to come back!

Excellent communication with Agnes who is very welcoming and helpful. The property is exactly as described and is very beautiful. The walled garden is a restful place to sit and read at the end of a busy day sight-seeing.. Perfectly situated in the town of Valognes with regards to shops - supermarket and bakers a short walk away. The location of the town is also ideal for visiting both coasts. All tourist sites and attractions are within a short drive. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay in this property again

We had a wonderful relaxing break at the house. The property had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the garden with the BBQ and we found the local shops very convenient in the pleasant town of Valogne. The location is ideal for visiting beautiful little- known beaches. the Normandy WW2 landing sites, pretty coastal towns and very convenient for Cherbourg ferry terminal.

"Wonderful large home with a beautiful back yard/garden. The owner was helpful and generous, the home was very clean and well supplied. The location is easy driving distance to D-Day sites and more. Also easy to walk to the town shops. Our entire family enjoyed this home and we would very much like to return someday for a longer visit."
