The breakfast room was very nice with a fine selection of breakfast items. The fresh squeezed orange juice, the selection of breads, the to-order coffee and the jams were a special treat. There was always someone at the front desk for questions. Poppy gave me an ice pack from their freezer when I hurt my knee. Very kind. The location was very convenient -- right on the Port and close to the Supermarket. Plenty of restaurants just up the street. My room had a wrap around balcony with view of the Port, chairs, table and rack to hang wet things. There is a decent beach right out front.

We had a last minute visit to Kea and needed a place close to the ferry. Found Hotel Karthea on Booking.com. Place had 2 stars but decent reviews. Our beds were comfy, the water was hot, and the location ideal. Super inexpensive and a great value. Mind you, it’s nothing fancy but we were vey happy and pleasantly surprised with the room
