Saint Chaffrey: House with character ideally located

We enjoyed a week at the chalet exploring the local area and the ski resorts of Serre Chevalier and Montgenevre. The town and ski lift are not far down a steep hill. The view of the ski slope from the chalet is lovely and can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the light conservatory. The kitchen and second bedroom are compact but have storage and everything that you need is provided. The toilet is separate to the shower and wash basin which was handy for a group of 4 adults. It was great to be able to have bed linen and towels provided for ease. We enjoyed some evenings with a log fire and watching TV. If the second sofa were little more comfy it would be perfect! Communication with the owners was quick and friendly and although not fluent in English, with the aid of a smartphone and Google Translate, it wasn’t an issue. Thank you Pierre and Francoise for a lovely stay!

Le chalet est extraordinaire ! Sa localisation, sa vue, son charme, ses équipements... On s’y sent bien immédiatement ! L’accueil préalable par les propriétaires est chaleureux, attentionné presque amical. Sur place, nous avons été accueillis par un jeune homme professionnel, accueillant et serviable. Donc, n’hésitez pas ! Perso, nous y retournerons.

Nous avons passé 2 très belles semaines dans ce beau chalet bien équipé avec une belle terrasse et une très belle vue sur la montagne

Le chalet est situé dans le village de Villard Laté au dessus de Chantemerle. La vue est magnifique. Le chalet est ancien mais bien équipé le seul point négatif est la literie, trop ancienne , matelas très faible épaisseur, sommier très fatigué. Si vous mesurez plus 1,90m ne réservez pas ce chalet.Les chambres sont très petites , situées sous les toits.
