We are four girls aged 21-23 who stayed at Alexandra hotel and were violently harrassed by the men there. We had people knocking aggressively at our door. We checked and there was no one there but CCTV later confirmed that this was 4 men. We also received multiple harrasing phone calls throughout the day and reported this to reception. The reception team were extremely dismissive and unhelful simply advising us to unplug the hotel phone which we did. We then returned to the hotel room at 00:30 in the evening when we went to sleep. At 3:00am we woke up to the loudest violent noise again our door it was beeen kicked aggressively by a man. We were all terrified but too scared to leave our beds and could not call anyone as the phone was unplugged (as advised). We then woke up again three more times to the door being kicked down. At 4:00am I woke up again to a noise on the handle and at the door but stayed in bed out of fear. There was then an alarm that went off for over 1h 30 mins. In the morning we saw the door and it was clear that men had been trying to break into our room at which point we were terrified. We went down to reception to report the incident and show them the pictures but they were again extremely dismissive at first. They barely checked the CCTV and went to a room and kicked the men out which was extremely disappointing and wrong as we wanted to involve the police but they did not want to. We later requested this was taken seriously and the hotel security advised ‘what do you expect staying in St Julian’s I would never let my daughter stay here’ he also said that men were likely preying on us from the balcony and when it happens again.. At which point I clearly told him this would never happend again. The hotel is exetemly unsafe.
