Authentic Lapland stay with everything we needed.

The property was great for what we needed. I go to Lapland every year and would consider staying here again. Ideal for 2 people, there were 3 of us and it was still manageable. It was very picturesque and authentically Lappish, it was very good value for money and the host responded quickly to any queries. Everything was very clean. There was a dishwasher, hair dryer, washing machine, sauna, shoe dryer, oven and microwave so we had all we needed. Close to the ski resort (20min walk) and to a big shopping centre and pubs. The cabin was very warm and the host left instructions for us with information we’d need.

I liked mostly everything, the only downside was that the rooms aren’t very soundproof but that is common with these types of properties in Lapland. There is an extra charge for towels and bed linen which is also common across Finland.

Superb

Location is close to the entrance in Saariselka coming from the main national road. Very good for cross-country skiing access, but you need to take the ski bus if you are there for the alpine skiing. Everything else is in 10' walk range. Good restaurants and pubs nearby. Very clean and decent apartment, with all you need for a very comfortable stay. Excellent insulation, very nice electric sauna - very well equipped kitchen. Nice TV and great variety of channels and we watched the winter Olympics :-)

Special remark: locks at the main door seem to be a local design which is very counter-intuitive to what we are used in the rest of Europe and we struggled a bit to lock/unlock, but nothing major. Just make sure that the frame is not a bit stuck due to freezing when you get out (that will not be lock related).

Siisti ja erittäin toimiva majoituskohde kahdelle aikuiselle. Kohde vastasi täysin odotuksiamme.

Majoituskohde oli erittäin siisti ja sijainti erinomainen, kun kaikkiin Saariselän palveluihin pääsi kävellen. Maastohiihtolatu kulki muutaman kymmenen metrin päässä.

Ruokailuastioita oli hyvin, mutta ruuanvalmistukseen tarvittavia välineitä oli niukasti, Ei löytynyt esim. desilitran mittaa tai mittakannua eikä oikein kunnollista kauhaa, Isoja uunivuokia oli kaksi, olisimme kaivanneet myös pienempää. Asianpesukoneen ylätason korin kiinnitys kiskoon oli jotenkin rikki.

Huoneisto oli siisti ja vastasi kuvausta. Avaimet helposti saatavilla avainkoodilla ja majoittajaan sai helposti sovelluksen kautta yhteyden. Jääkaappi omille eväille ja eteisessä kuivauskaappi.

Huoneistossa jäimme kaipaamaan keittiöön talouspaperia sekä saunaan kertakäyttöisiä laudeliinoja. Meillä sattui olemaan omat kertakäyttöliinat mukana.

Sijainti todella hyvä. Jokaiseen asuntoon kuului ulkovarasto jossa sai säilyttää suksia yms. Suksien voitelu huone todella hyvä juttu, ei tarvitse pihalla kylmässä yrittää tehdä. Takka ja sauna iso plussa, ne pitää aina löytyä asunnosta 😉

Ehkä asunto kaipaa pientä huoltoa. Jääkaappi heilui. Säätöjalka jumissa. Veski jäi helposti valumaan vettä. Huono juttu jos jää pitkäksi aikaa.
