This is the second time we stayed at this lovely hotel - a full week this time. It is just a very friendly place, at a beautiful location with its own little lake and a view of the snow capped mountains. There is a nice restaurant on the bottom floor with the same name but different ownership. Our room had a little kitchen area with a fridge, but nothing else. Plenty of parking.
The mattress was a little too soft. A coffee maker would have been nice. The breakfast became a little stale after eating the same small offerings for a few days.

Hotel Zum See was a port in a storm. When the road and train to Zermatt were shut down due t s landslide. A bit of a drive up the mountain in the dark, and a late arrival, but welcomed by warm and friendly staff. The breakfast the next morning was excellent typically breakfast.

Nice staff. Friendly and professional. Wonderful breakfast!
We paid to have air conditioning and the hotel does not have ‘air conditioning’ in the sense a person from the USA is used too. The temperature is regulated by the hotel which is not what I was expecting. Very disappointed. When the issue was addressed with staff they apologized and gave us a fan.
