The relaxed feel of the village it is a beautiful village perched atop of a mountain The view across the Libyan sea from both our room, the pool and the restaurant is truly beautiful The come and go relaxed atmosphere to eating and drinking . It was lovely chatting to other guests whilst having the space to be on our own if we wanted to.We didn't try any of the activities but maybe next time. If you want to be away from everything this is the place. Stunning views, local cretan food with peace and quiet.

Stunning views and peaceful atmosphere. You wake up to chickens and sheep, and you’re surrounded by the beautiful nature of Crete. It’s like taking a step back in time. This is a place you go to disconnect and just relax in nature. The grounds are well-kept with flowers and plants everywhere. The pool is very clean. There are hiking trails around that will take you higher into the mountains or down toward the sea. The staff are all wonderful, helpful, and accommodating.
The bugs and ants are a difficult thing to escape when you’re in the middle of nowhere like this. Housekeeping isn’t offered during your stay, so you will need to ask for things you need (like toilet paper or trash bags or spray for the bugs that sneak into the room). The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, but we found some thick blankets and extra sheets in a wardrobe and put them on top of the bed to pad it a little better. The rooms are very dark with minimal lighting, but I think that’s to be expected in a traditional stone house like this.

The peace of the mountain village, the pool, the staff, the sheer sense of solitude, the quiet, the village itself, was just incredible. I was constantly in awe of the views and I feel lucky to have stayed here
Unfortunately didn’t have hot water throughout the stay and the beds were pretty rough. These things should probably be improved (especially the water), but they don’t in any way detract from the majesty of the place.
