Best Western. Evreux.

Everything.

The bill for the food, I had chicken caesar salad, the chicken was pink and I had food poisoning and spent the entire night on the toilet. The reception deducted the price for the salad but overcharged for my husbands Fois gras and salad. Euro 49.50 so I am not very happy.

Shower was Luke warm, I mentioned it to reception that evening after a cold shower however nothing was done, so we couldn’t have a shower in the morning, not the best way to start your day.

A good comfortable hotel on the way down south

Comfortable big room

Access to the hotel and parking was difficult . I only found out about the slip road to the hotel by looking at satellite images on how to get to the car park .

Huge bed , clean room , very good price

Extractor didn't work in bathroom , Restaurant was very nice , slightly over priced , My wife had the duck , which was very nice , I had the fillet of beef , I debated wether to try and eat it or re-sole my shoes , it was that tough and bland , quite disappointed .

Comfortable, well presented hotel.

Our rooms were identical and beautifuly spacious. The addition of room for a table and chairs made all the difference. The coffee machine was great too. Beds were comfy and the hotel itself has great decor.

Our pillows were not the best, with not much substance to them. It was difficult to use the air conditioning system in the room at night time because, even on the low setting, it was too noisy. The window didn't open so there was no other way to keep the room cool enough.

Great overnight stop

The room was clean, bed comfortable. The toilet was in its own room, but no sink with it - the sink was in the same space as the shower. The breakfast had variety. Loved that the cheeseboard was labeled! The hotel was a distance from the train station, but convenient to walk around the town.

The hotel is well-located with easy access to main roads, while being a short and attractive walk to the historic town center. This mid-range hotel offered a comfortable and quiet room.

Front desk staff did their job but there wasn't a sense of welcome. The restaurant seemed under staffed and as if this was their first night of offering service (initially, the experience had a "Faulty Towers" feeling. The food was fine but wasn't of a level I anticipated from a restaurant in France. I stayed at the hotel on a Sunday evening, so the restaurant was my only option.

Excellent Staff, terrific food, very friendly and relaxing ambience, terrific Restaurant.

We were met at reception by a most professional and pleasant Receptionist who welcomed us to the property and made us feel very welcome. We reserved a Table for Dinner and the Restaurant Staff, without exception, were brilliant ! Friendly, Professional and very efficient. The quality and presentation of the Food and choice available was excellent. We had breakfast the following morning which, again, was excellent and we also met new Staff, both at Reception and in the Breakfast Restaurant, who were all equally, friendly, efficient and professional. All the Staff we met were a credit to the Hotel.

It would have been preferable to have an electric kettle in the bedroom. The Hotel should consider having rubber shower mats available for safety if requested by individual Guests

Convenient and comfortable

Room was quiet, spacious and clean. Very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking.

Food was expensive and not value for money. The breakfast was below the standard I would have expected from the hotel, we have had better in cheaper hotels. The evening meals were varied, one meal was lovely but the steak was cold and chewy and when returned it had just been reheated so was then well done, disappointing, we probably should have sent back a second time but were hungry and it was busy.

Awful Experience: BEWARE OF USING THE CAR PARK

The hotel staff are friendly. Location is near a small shopping centre and supermarket.

Our car's windscreen was smashed and broken during the night, and other cars were damaged in the hotel's unsecured parking lot. There are no security cameras or adequate lighting in the parking lot, and the police was called during the night after our car and a few others were vandalised by criminals. There was no apology from the hotel manager or even anyone to explain clearly what happened when we checked out in the morning. There was no further assistance from the hotel and we had to walk to the police station to file a report. During check-in, we were given the wrong key and room number (112 instead of 117) and we entered a room that was already occupied. Luckily, the guest was not in their room, but their personal belongings were all over the bedroom. The hotel itself is old and outdated (generally fine for 1 night), but this is definitely not a Best Western Plus or even a 4 star hotel, and should have its rating updated accordingly for accuracy. It is not acceptable for a large chain such as a Best Western Plus to not have security cameras in its own vicinity and private car park.

Great staff and great food! Comfortable stay!

The Staff was really nice and helpful even with the language barrier sometimes. But they were all lovely. The room and the bed was really what I needed after a long day of working. I love that there was always fruits at the restaurant.

The scrambled eggs at breakfast were too wet. And I think there’s too much breakfast stuff sometimes for a few people. Perhaps they could try do an amount based on the number of guests? I don’t know what is done with left over foods but it would be a shame if it goes to waste.
