Hotel Villaggio Club Altalia

large hotel with a long tradition and plenty of charm. Very friendly and professional staff. Our room was very spacious, with two balconies.The furniture is a little more old-fashioned, but very elegant. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern, with a large walk-in shower. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The breakfast is simple, but the dinners are very tasty. The hotel has a well-maintained private beach (less than a 10-minute walk away) and a large swimming pool. There is entertainment on the beach in the mornings, while the afternoons were very peaceful.

I missed some fresh fruits for breakfast.

The young staff performers at the pool, as greeters, as entertainment were unbelievablely fantastic. I would hire any of them 10 times over. They made a stodgy front desk staff tolerable.

The snack bar at the pool. No way to use a credit card and no way to add to the room charge. Crazy right? No bathroom or snack bar at the beach, equally crazy. This morning I wanted to change a 10.00 euro for two fives so I could tip our wonderful waiter. Front desk was unable to cash a ten...what?????
