Dormy Inn Asahikawa

The onsen and saunas were absolutely amazing! We loved the complimentary ice cream and the evening soba - it was delicious and definitely worth coming for. The hotel is a fantastic place to relax. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going completely out of their way to help us.

The breakfast wasn't our favorite part. We would probably recommend not booking it in advance if you are staying for more than one night, just to see if it suits your taste first. Also, the overall experience is definitely easier if you know some Japanese .

Excellent hotel in a perfect location with great access to restaurants, shops etc. Service very good, all staff lovely. Room was fine for the two of us, clean and comfortable. Parking was available on site and easy. Coffee in lobby etc.

The breakfast needed a couple more 'continental' offerings. I understand this is a business hotel and mostly Asian guests, but no cereal & very limited white bread/rolls with one slow toaster. The yoghurt was getting a real pasting from customers, so just maybe there is demand for some more western food? The Asian food offering was fine, I just don't do noodles & pickles for breakfast. Great hotel otherwise.

The staff were so very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size too, you can open up your luggage in peace. Facilities are clean and the place is relatively accessible. Great stay!

Hotel parking wasn’t free. While it isn’t considered too expensive by Japanese standards, there was a parking lot across the road offering free parking for 24h. It was more worth it to park there.

Hotel is ok, small rooms, nothing too fancy. If you want a hotel with public bath/onsen, it comes with it alongside with free ice cream after the onsen. They also serve ramen for supper! There is also FOC self washer, but for paid coin dryer. Location is convenient, minutes walk away from food street and we can also walk to aeon. We didn’t opt for breakfast, so I can’t comment on the breakfast though.
