After knocking on the door for 20 minutes, someone eventually answered. The phone number for the hotel provided was invalid and not in service.
The gentleman who showed us in originally said he was the cleaner, living at the hotel, renovating it, and eventually a guest like us. All in the space of 90 minutes whilst we waited for someone to actually let us into a room. However, he knew the manager and was accessing all the rooms.
The same man said our room (14) wasn't ready but showed us Room 2 whoch was full of mould and the entire bottom floor had been flooded. This obviously wasn't appropriate for a family. He told us there had been a flood and showed us Room 1 just so we could see the extent and why there was mould in Room 2. It was horrific and straight out of a 3rd world country.
He then took us downstairs and said I shouldn't show you behind the bar (kitchen) proceeded to anyway. This room hadn't been used for well over a year and was derelict, full of mould and dust.
90 minutes now, after actually getting into the hotel, we were shown to Room 14 on the top floor. The room had no mattress on a double bed, which had burn marks on the bed sheets. The room was also slightly mouldy and stank of it, as did the entire hotel (no surprise considering what we had been shown on floors below). This had no toilet paper. Also, no surprise was piecing everything together he was the cleaner, and as he had previously mentioned, the room wasn't ready. The room had no hot water or heating either.
Obviously, we decided to cut our losses and didn't stay.
The Hotel, as you would expect as its a scam, didn't refund the monies paid. It was cheap, so this wasn't an issue.

Travelling for hours for the air show to be told the room was cancelled but no confirmation of this,
Told to go back later in the afternoon to see if a room had come available to be shown to a room which was not the standard I had booked but due to having no other options as everywhere else fully booked we had to stay, also told to pay for the room but I would receive a refund for my original booking which I still have not,
Needs a lot of work and updating doing to it, lots of potential for this place if cleaned and updated due to good location

I booked it 4 days ago. They wanted some photo identification. I didn't have any. I tried phoning them. I couldn't get through to them. I emailed them instead. Then on the day I was going to stay in their hotel. They phoned me up and cancelled my booking with due to unseen circumstances.

the location was good
this hotel is the filthiest building I have ever been in, I went back out of the building and asked the proprietor to have the bathroom cleaned, I returned four hours later and they hadn't bothered to complete that task, the lounge where I was to eat had a dog loose running around and that room was also in a filthy dilapidated state, I immediately left the property, I did not stay one night, I canceled but they refused to give me my money back, avoid this hotel like the plague it is disgusting.

Traumatised
Arrived at the property with my 8 year old child , soon as I got outside I thought omg what a dump. I then went inside and something just didnt feel right , you wouldn’t let a dog stay there . I was then showed to a room where you couldn’t see the carpet for dog hair . There was no running water and the place stunk (remember I have an 8 year old child with me expected to stay here) I went downstairs and asked the owner if it was a wind up and how could he expect me to stay there with a child. To my horror he then informed me the place was not open for business. To my disbelief it is still available to book on booking.com. Please do not book as I would not want any other family to experience the horror I had. I missed a whole day of my son’s short holiday as I had to stay in a hotel the other side of town (no where near the attractions that I had booked for my son) Still haven’t had a response from booking.com which is beyond belief

Comfortable
Lovely for visiting the south pier or if you want to stay close to the pleasure beach. Room was clean , bed was comfy enough, staff where friendly. Room was small but only needed it for sleeping. Breakfast was ok.
Room does need updating and the only cleaning issue was the shower had lime scale, the wardrobe had a broken piece as so did the draws. Bathroom is quite small but it was good enough for what I needed.

This was an untidy, dirty and smelly property. On first entering the dining room I could see it was dirty. There were rolled up dirty rugs leaning against furniture. When the host finally appeared he showed us to our room up a smelly staircase. To say our room was dated is an understatement! the wall paper was coming off the walls, the furniture was damaged and dirty, the bathroom door had a big hole that had been filled in badly, the shower was dirty, the curtains were dirty and the tea and coffee was just thrown on top of a table and had obviously been wet at some point. I didn't even look at the bed we just left and didn't go back.

I personally liked nothing very dirty hotel, Dog hair's every were stained mattress my Daughter had to physically help change mattress shower very smelly when put on a load of yellow stuff came out plumbing problems overall in need of repairs to be avoided at all costs

Didnt even stay the night there.the place is nkthing like the picture on booking.com all that is a con.on the front of the place was a sign saying its a indian takeaway then a piece of paper stuck inthe window saying Dora hotel.As you entered there was broken glass in the front door .the s ell was atrocious and it was absolutely filthy. Went up to the next floor to check out my room.couldn't even hold on to the handrail as it was filthy and the carpet on the stairs was black and sticky.when tried to unlock the door there was so ething behind it stopping from opening.after a few attemps a young lad opened the door n run off.prooves they hadnt got the room ready for me and i hate to think what was going on in that room for the young lad to have to barricade himself in.when confronting the owner n saying no way could myself my daughter n 2 young grandchildren stay in such a squalor he offered me £20 and a free pizza.dont understand how such an appalling place can even be on booki ng.com dont they check the places out first.ive lost £190 as booking . Com will not refund my payment but offered me £19 in credits to use on my next booking with them.as if id ever use them again.shame on you but take note i am taking the matter further to get my full money back and to get that dump closed down.
