Villa Termal Spa Hotel & Resort

My room was clean & comfy. The on-site shop was nice, bought a few gifts. I liked being close to the springs.

The check in process was a faff. Apart from the springs, the location was odd/rundown, a bit industrial and several miles from Monchique itself. The reception was unmanned and anyone could just walk in to the hotel which was a bit scary (as a female solo traveller) given the location and how empty my part of the resort was

The villa was restaured -clean simple and good taste. The Breakfast was excellent and the whole environment very nice. The SPA should have some works to be more confortable.

Quite modern very clean except for ants in the bathroom

I fell on the steps behind the building There was no emergency capabilities as it was about 6pm and no one to help as my husband saw I could not walk and he got me into the car to find no hospital or emergency near by By the time we returned that evening there was. Man at the desk very very kind to help as my husband carried me in our room . There was no ice or emergency kit like bandages or a number to call or even a wheel chair to get me to the car. We paid for breakfast but I was unable to go s I could not walk . The dinner menus was limited and room service does not seem to be an option. It seems with the age of this beautiful place that accidents will happen. A hotel needs to offer services to be prepared for such events that could ease such events and allow one to feel safe and not helpless and isolated from food and first care. I still cannot walk as my right foot ankle is swollen . We left the next morning thinking that this place had so many great attributes and a lovely staff without the ability to help in such unfortunate times.
