Room with Private Bathroom in a Traditional Basque House with a Terrace

We wanted to stay in this area at the end of our three month tour of Europe so that we could get the ferry home from Bilbao We are so happy that we chose this accommodation The apartment is small but well furnished with everything you need for a self catering stay. It is a 15 minute walk to the local town which has loads of bars and restaurants and a short drive to several large supermarkets However the best aspect of this rental was the owner Xabier. Right from booking we had excellent communication especially regarding our questions about parking our camper van on site. On arrival we were so warmly greeted and he had left us loads of extras like beer, milk, juice, chocolates and a lovely cake - thank you! We decided to hire a small car for a few days rather than drive the van around and Xabier took us to the Airport to collect it and back again to drop it off which was so appreciated. He also gave us loads of advice on where to go in this gorgeous area so many that we did not get to see them all in the time we had - maybe next year. The apartment is in a rural area which is so quiet but as said in a short drive or walk you are in the town There are also good transport links so if you want to you can get a bus/train to Bilbao and Donesta (San Sebastián) both of which are really worth visiting We have really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to experience living in the Basque Country Thank you so much Xabier
