Private Villa With own Private Pool And Two First Floor Balconies & Sun Room

The Host sharon made booking and locating property very simple. Also we were fortunate to have great neighbours if you needed anything. I have been to the area many times and it is next door to Desert Springs Golf Resort. The property was excellent and very relaxing. Will return.

A lovely, well appointed Villa everything you need a real home from home. Great communication from the host lots of information provided both on the Villa and the surrounding area.

Carl and Sharon's villa is comfortable and very well equipped for a stay, whether you plan to lounge by the pool or hit the beach. The villa is 10 mins drive to the nearest supermarket and 15 moms to the nearest beach, both on quiet roads. Access to a car is essential. The garden gets the sun from sunrise to sunset and there are terraces that allow you to enjoy the sun or the shade, depending on the time of day. Sharon was great and provided lot of great information before we arrived and kept in touch before during and on our return from our stay. Chris and Pete, the neighbour and the pool guy were also friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Recommended for couples and small families. We would definitely look to book again in future.

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday in this relaxing property. It is located in quite a remote area so a car is a must. It is only a short drive to Vera where all amenities can be found. The nearest beach is approximately a ten minute drive away - parking is free. The pool at the villa is a reasonable size for kids / family to play in. Air conditioning in the bedrooms is very effective. There isn't an outside BBQ so cooking outside requires rigging up a hot plate with extension lead. It works but doesn't have the same effect as a BBQ. Cooking and eating outside during the day was a challenge because of the flies: need one hand to eat and one hand to fend off the flies. Still worth the effort though. The owners were very helpful prior to our arrival giving us a lot of information as we requested. On arrival we also had a welcome pack of 'fizz' and other essentials - a very thoughtful touch. The villa was very clean. Why only 3 stars? On return from our holiday our returned deposit was unexpectedly reduced. This was due to the pool requiring an extra clean during our stay (at our request). We were not warned at the time there would be this additional cost. The pool got very dirty and murky quickly. The owner said this was due to sand. We think it was due to dirt being blown in by the wind (it can be quite windy at times). Whatever the cause, it seemed a little churlish to be billed for the clean especially without being told this would be the case. A stand up fan broke whilst we were there. It just collapsed (it was clearly not in very good order when we arrived - very wobbly and noisy) - the owner indirectly suggested we were at fault as in an email they stated "We haven't charged you for the broken fan". As a property that is being rented out there were other minor things that should be addressed such as a lot of solar lights in the garden not working, cement work around the pool is cracking, TV instructions very complicated (need writing more logically). These are only minor issues and did not detract from our great holiday. If it hadn't of been for the unexpected additional charge for the pool cleaning and the comment regarding the fan, we would have given a 4 star rating (4.5 stars would have been more accurate as the additional issues were only very minor). In summary, we would recommend the property but with the caution of being wary of potential unexpected post holiday costs!
