Amala Grand Bleu Resort Hilltops - SHA

This is a large property set in the hills around a 10-minute drive from Kamala beach. The villa was large and clean and the bed was super comfortable. I stayed in one of the partial sea view villas on the lower level of the property. It was very quiet and the view from the balcony area and private pool was lovely.

This place should be a 10, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. Staff were friendly, but everything felt a bit scripted rather than genuine Thai hospitality. The villas are clean but maintenance has been done cheaply and poorly. Some of the towels had bleach stains on them and some of the kitchen crockery had obviously been broken over time and not replaced. The room service was prompt and friendly, but food was just ok. I was driving and the location at the top of a very steep hill with poor directional signage made arrival a bit difficult (glad I arrived during the day!).

The view, private pool, spacious accomodation with plates, bowls and even microwave in the kitchen.

Staff were very pleasant. Food from the kitchen very good. Especially the fried rice dishes and mango sticky rice

the built quality in the bathroom and pool was really poor. The pool jet was nor working. The location made it really hard to walk anywhere and grab mostly was hard.
