Great value and great breakfast, but the beds and lighting could be a bit improved.

I really enjoyed the location and the sea of usage of the shower and other amenities. The breakfast had a nice variety that I appreciated.

I toss and turn at night, so I like beds that are rather quiet. The bed that I slept on made an awful creaking sound every time I flipped. I woke up periodically about 9 times through the night, so I didn't get the best sleep. The only other thing was that the plugs were a little loose, and my charging blocks kept slipping out, and the bedside lights would not turn on the first time you turned them on. You had to wait about 10 minutes after hitting the switch for them to turn on.

Location and value for money

When we arrived I was told off for coming in via the restaurant rather than directly into the hotel We ordered breakfast for the second morning of our stay but when we went for breakfast they had no record of our booking so would not let us have breakfast despite it being continental with an apparent abundance of cereal bread cheese etc and the room only being about 25% full . We were advised to go to the bakery down the road!! On another occasion my wife asked if she could use the toilet in the restaurant and was told she couldn’t but they begrudgingly allowed her to use it when she told them she was actually staying in the hotel All very Fawlty Towers like!!!

Great value for money

Great location by old walls. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good continental breakfast. For a “hostel” this is at the high end. Impressive!

Check-in was supposed to open at 3pm. No one appeared to unlock the door until 3.15pm so another couple and I were waiting outside. But once the staff arrived they were great!

Not recommended for bycicle tours.

Very good location.

You have to leave your bike on the street. No parking available. Breakfast is included. So you don't need to exact to much. Just forget about it. Coffee is not coffee.. the only real thing at BF was the Milk. Stressfull after a long ride with bike. That there is no Option for bycicle guests. But for Car guests. Should not be the case for albergue.

Did it’s Job.

The hotel is unpretentious and does what it needs to. It’s good value, well placed and clean. There are great views from the rooms at the rear.

The cleaning smell was a bit strong in one of our rooms. Whilst the breakfast was adequate, it was quite limited.

Great value for money, very basic rooms - ideal place when you just need to sleep overnight. very friendly and helpful staff.

Good value for money

The room is simple but sufficiently equipped, showers and toilet are with the room. Staff is always helpfull. Hotel is clean and very close to the city center, only about 500 meters away from the old fortress with museum. Behind the hotel is a nice park. Breakfast is fine with Baguette, various sorts of marmelade, cereals, yogurt, fruits and coffee/chocolate from the machine. Guest kitchen is well equipped with pots and cuttlery. Wifi works good. I can highly recommend this place. Thanks to the staff for making my stay so enjoyable! :-)

Beautiful building and great staff

Beautiful building and 5 mins walk to the town centre, guy on reception was fantastic and very helpful especially by letting us park our motorcycles in a very safe spot, room was huge and the shower great, amazing value and a good simple breakfast for free, I would definitely stay here again, as some other reviews have said there is a certain hospital smell in the hotel, however at least you are sure it's clean

We bought a beer from the hotel bar around 20:00 and were shown to a lovely beer garden, when we went to get another beer about 30mins later and the bar was closed and locked, it's a pity the staff didn't tell the bar closed so early or we could have bought another beer at the start

Room not very clean, shower hot and cold all the time and a light flickering while turned off. Breakfast only had jam, yoghurt and bread. No meet, chees or anything else.

Everything was really good. The only suggestion I have is that there should be rooms fans available to rent. It was very hot and the room was stuffy. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful.

Hostel like residence with private rooms in typical French little town. Suited for foreigners coming for the WW1 memorial sites. The museum, restaurants, parks and shops are at walking distance. Everything was fine.

great for a group trip but be careful with cleanliness

we were with twenty kids so the falicities were very good for them. they played babyfoot and they enjoyed the stay.

The bathroom were no clean. Hair on the floor. We found also broken glass on the floor and it's hurt my soon

warm , clean, quiet, easy access to all amenities in town

breakfast adequate, very close to centre of town, wet room/bathroom a bonus, either stairs or lift up to room, very friendly staff and very helpful !

Another single bed ?- room had 2x bunk beds, 1x single bed _ fine for a father and son , maybe a couple would like another single _ having said that, was obvious that the room was more aimed at, i.e, travelling students, or singletons

I liked how the staff were very friendly and wanted to make sure my stay was good - they were very relaxed and their conversation was natural and not forced

I got to breakfast after a bunch of kids so the available food was a bit decimated but cereal, bread and yoghurt was fine
