A bit of a walk to town

Food menu is fantastic. Beautiful coffee. Fabulous river view. Very peaceful and quiet outside. Really relaxing place.

Safety latch was broken. Room security not 100%.

We book a room suite with kitchen. It was perfect cause it has it own washer in the second restroom, the only thing is no dryer you’ll have to hang dry clothes outside or inside. Perfect for small family. We loved our stay in the suite. The staff were nice enough to grab more hangers for us as well. And the hospitality and service was amazing great and food was great lots of options with American, Indian, Mediterranean and local foods.

The only thing we didn’t like was the suite didn’t have a clothing rack to hang dry our clothes. We had to buy a rope to hang out stuff outside. If there was a portable drying rack it would be an amazing. But other than that our stay was great.

The hotel was quite simple and inexpensive. I thought the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, and there are blackout curtains in the room which keeps it nice and dark for sleeping. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There were some kind of flying ants or termites that seemed to be infesting the property. I'm used to seeing that in the evening in this part of Asia but they were literally flying around all day, but worse in the evening. It made it impossible to enjoy the river view outside and the property was covered with their little dead bodies by morning, which weren't swept up. I stayed at another place further inland in Savannakhet as well as went to the night market which is near the water, and neither of those places had it as bad. I had to roll up a towel and put it by the bottom of the door so that they wouldn't come into my room. Maybe it's seasonal? But it was definitely worse than anywhere else I was in Savannakhet.
