Villaggio Idra residence

We were two people for 4 nights in a spacious 2 bed apartment with terrace (A5). This place was a dream. Even though the decor is slightly dated everything was in good condition so you look past it. The older couple that run it are so very lovely. Teresa speaks quite good English and her husband is constantly cleaning! He can't stop! The pool was out of this world - maybe 25m or more. We were there at the end of September and there were very few of us there so I had the pool all to myself. The view of Vieste and onto the sea is superb. Vieste is a lovely town on a hill. A quick car ride away - maybe 8 min. The beach nearby was also super. Fine sand and shallow sea. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and I have stayed in a lot of places. Thank you for hosting us and thanks so much for the bed topper. I find the beds in Italy too hard generally. Loved feeding the cats and waking up to the cockerels having a chat in the distance (no loud at all!)

2 things I would change: 1. The really good and quite large TV is up a bit too high on the wall. I would lower it. Some more comfortable / soft cushions on the sofa would be welcome. 2. Add some side lamps in the living/dining area for softer mood lighting. The big, central lights are too bright.

I loved everything,an amazing residence.Staff super helpful.My 12 year old daughter wants to move there.She loved her little apartment and the swimming pool.In the evenings sitting outside to eat dinner etc.Bbqs provided for everyone!

No complaints really,just thought little things like Salt and Pepper could be provided.Or washing tablets etc.

Wir sind aus Deutschland mit drei Erwachsenen und unserer fünfjährigen Tochter angereist und wurden von der Gastgeberin sehr herzlich empfangen. Sie hat uns in aller Ruhe alles gezeigt, sich viel Zeit genommen und sich während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts sehr gewissenhaft um uns gekümmert. Die Anlage ist vollständig eingezäunt und durch Kameras gesichert, sodass wir uns jederzeit sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt haben. Gleichzeitig herrscht dort eine unglaublich ruhige und entspannte Atmosphäre. Der Ausblick auf das Meer und Vieste ist wunderschön. Dazu kommen ein riesiger, liebevoll gepflegter Garten mit Olivenbäumen, ein Spielplatz und eine wirklich traumhafte Poolanlage. Man merkt sofort, wie viel Arbeit und Herzblut in diesem Ort stecken. Der Mann der Gastgeberin kümmert sich jeden Tag um den Garten und die gesamte Anlage – und genau deshalb sieht es dort so gepflegt und einladend aus. Nachmittags war er außerdem an der Bar und erfüllte uns jeden Wunsch. Besonders schön fanden wir, wie kinderlieb beide waren: Unsere Tochter bekam sogar hin und wieder ein Eis geschenkt und fühlte sich dort rundum wohl. Wir hatten zusätzlich vier Liegen und zwei Sonnenschirme am Strand reserviert. Mit dem Auto waren es nur etwa sechs Minuten bis zum eigenen Strandabschnitt und ungefähr neun Minuten bis nach Vieste. Auch Supermärkte und schöne Möglichkeiten zum Frühstücken befinden sich ganz in der Nähe. Ich kenne Apulien und den Gargano bereits sehr gut, aber die Region rund um Vieste hat mich noch einmal besonders positiv überrascht. Wenn wir künftig wieder in diese Gegend reisen, werden wir definitiv nur noch hier übernachten. Ein weiteres Zeichen der außergewöhnlichen Gastfreundschaft: Meine Familie, die etwa anderthalb Stunden entfernt wohnt, durfte uns kostenlos für einen Tagesausflug besuchen und gemeinsam mit uns die Anlage und den Pool nutzen. Das war keineswegs selbstverständlich und hat uns sehr gefreut. Vielen Dank!!!!!!!!! Familie Coronato

Close to beautiful Vieste but not too close. Quiet residential area lovely lawned garden beautiful pine trees. Huge swimming pool with views over the sea in the distance. Old style chalets, good size rooms, kitchenette and large veranda. Immaculate gardens and pool area. Theresa was fabulous and very helpful.

We loved our stay.
