The cost of an overnight stay booked on a non peak night was very good @£65. We received a very pleasant welcome from from the lady receptionist. The bed was very comfortable although the room was rather small, excellent shower.
I normally look for the positives but I'm afraid the negatives won the day here. The hotel is looking a little dated inside, perhaps this is reflected in the price. The bedroom decor is ok but its been done cheaply and is reflected in the finish (I ran a kitchen and bathroom business). The dining room is in need of a redecoration, dated and peeling in parts wall paper, stains on the ceiling etc although looking across the room it still looks attractive. The room was chilly and at breakfast many guests were wearing their jackets, early autumn.
The evening meal was ok staff night off so quite basic the was just ok but the wines are expensive.
I'm afraid for a 3 star hotel charging 12 euros for breakfast and orange juice, hot drink and breads is just not good enough especially as the pictures show a reasonable selection of products.
I'm afraid in all the hotel came up a little short, I'm sure the food is normally good when the hotel is properly staffed.
