The Kayuan is definitely one of my favorite places in Bali. As a writer, I find it a wonderful place to work — peaceful, inspiring, and somehow very easy to settle into. The jacuzzi is warm and inviting, and the food has been a lovely surprise as well, with some of the most delicious and tender fish dishes I’ve had in a long time.
But what I perhaps appreciate most is the hospitality of the hosts. They are exceptionally well-travelled, knowledgeable and genuinely interesting people, and their warmth gives the place a character that is difficult to find elsewhere.

Beautiful views. Nice enough breakfast. TV in each room with good wifi
There was no fridge so we couldn't keep anything cold even in the kitchen. It was also a very steep difficult access road.
