About this house rental
Beautiful luxury villa, located 6 km from the city center of Porto-Vecchio on the Arena area. The Domaine d'Arena is a 40-hectare olive grove crossed by a shady river. Villa entirely in stones with an area of 180 square meters air-conditioned. It consists of 3 large bedrooms each with their bathroom, living room with American kitchen. This house has a private pool surrounded by a wooden beach IPE of about 100 m2. The terrace is equipped with: an outdoor lounge, table and chairs for the dining area and deckchairs. The kitchen is fully equipped: oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge freezer, plates, cutlery, glasses, cookware complete. The living room: sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV, fireplace. rooms: bathroom with toilet, 160 bed, large dressing room, and flat screen TV in each room. Linen: sheets and towels are provided. A room used as a storage room with ironing board, steam iron, and washing machine.

Schönes Haus im Hinterland Porto-Vecchios (längere Anreisezeiten in die Stadt und an die Strände sind einzuplanen) inmitten einer Olivenbaumhaines. Zufahrt zum Haus über ca. 500 m Schotterpiste.
Herrlich ruhige, ländliche Lage. Der Pool lädt ein, den ganzen Tag am Haus zu verbringen. Tipp für den Vermieter: den Bestand an Geschirr und Gläsern erneuern.
Wir haben den täglichen Besuch des zur Anlage gehörenden Pferdes sehr genossen.

Un lieu merveilleux, une maison au calme en pleine nature dans le maquis au milieu d une oliveraie. Aucun vis à vis. Présence d une petite rivière en contre bas. Très beau jardin, piscine et terasse très agréable. Un cheval vient régulièrement à la maison ainsi qu un chat pour le bonheur des enfants. Poules à côté et gentillesse du propriétaire qui nous a fourni en œuf frais ! A savoir : 3 chambres dont 2 non communicantes avec le reste de la maison et possédant leur accès direct sur le jardin.

The villa itself is very lovely and well kept. The pool is a good size and depth and very clean, as is the rest of the property. We loved the visits from the very friendly local horse who came twice to stand outside our kitchen window and enjoy the carrots and apples we fed him.
As for reservations about the property: Two of the bedrooms are only accessed via the outdoors, which is something for families with young children to be aware of in terms of security . The location is definitely more remote than we realized. It is very much on its own quite far from town so you can't easily pop out to get what you need. However once we got used to the location we enjoyed it especially in contrast to busy towns and beaches nearby. The air conditioning in the property didn't work in one of the bedrooms for the first two days of our stay. We texted the property manager but had no response. Then the day before we were leaving all of the air conditioning quit. It was extremely hot, and uncomfortable for sleeping, so definitely tarnished the end of our stay. Also, on the day of checkout we were sent a message by the property manager that we needed to pay him 80 Euros cash upon leaving for the "household." I looked back through all the documentation for any mention of this and couldn't find anything so asked him to send me information about the 80 Euros via email. He then said not to worry about it and that it didn't matter, which seemed odd and made me question his ethics. Perhaps he excused the payment because he felt bad about the air conditioning not working, but I suspect it was actually because there really was no extra 80 Euro requirment.
