About this house rental
One hour from Lisbon, in the seaside village of Foz do Arelho. The Blue House, former quinta 5 bedrooms comfort: private pool, 3 bathrooms (whirlpool), large kitchen, pool table, darts, library, flat screen, wifi, board games, ping tables pong, baby equipment, 5 bicycles are available for all to enjoy. Nearby: sailing school and surfing, shops, restaurants, 3 golf courses.
Suitable for 12 adults and 2 babies
The whole property is divided into 3 buildings all surrounded by a private wall and an entrance portico. A first court offers garden and pool (with paddling pool for children) on one side, and on the other a vast space for parking and games (tale tennis, ...), access to the laundry room ( washing machine) and private terrace (solarium) above.
This is also the first building is located in the spacious living room with its pool table.
Two strides and another court "separate" opens on the large table (12p) and gives access to the kitchen and various rooms. Furnished in the old barn and the old dependency 5 rooms are organized as follows:
2 double rooms with a shower,
2 bedrooms (one double and one for children 4 beds) with a bathroom (spa)
1 parental bedroom with shower room.
Each room has the bath and beach linens needed for your stay, shower gel and shampoo 40ml / w 40ml for your arrival, hairdryer in each bathroom.
In the kitchen when she is fully equipped: Oven 90cm, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, fruit press ... and even a "pancake party!" in short everything is covered for 14 ... at the table!
For toddlers (two babies), cage beds, high chairs, dishes adapted ...
We built this house to spend the privilégiers and unforgettable moments with our children and one day our future grandchildren. A place where everyone will find happiness and its place.
It is a quiet and friendly village that offers all the delights of seaside resorts: beach, water sports, golf, mountain biking, restaurants ... without the hassle of crowded spots.
Under this oceanic and mild climate, everything exudes delight and serenity of our old holiday ... A haven of peace where our children go to buy bread in the morning in peace.
Quarter:
On the picturesque square of the village of Foz do Arelho next to the church, a few houses line this small village square, peace and tranquility characterizes the atmosphere of this place. The animation moves at 2 min walk heading towards the village center. Shops, grocery stores, restaurants are available by foot or bicycle (5 bikes are available in the house).
The beach (huge), the calm, tranquil waters of the lagoon or the ocean waves are a 10 min walk ... Bars and restaurants welcome you to offer you all the local culinary specialties (fish, shellfish ...)
Once there you can enjoy your vacation without a car. The shops and the beach are within walking distance. we provide you with 5 bicycles (of different sizes). For those who do not like walking free shuttles take you directly to the beach. We strongly do not advise to take your car to get there you may end up parked in front of the house!
At two minutes from the house holding a surf school by Martim and his wife ... but happiness for those who prefer the pleasures of sailing a sailing school welcomes you for lessons skysurf, optimistic, windsurfing. ..
We do not live on site. However we wrote the "Book". You will find all information on the facilities and home accessories. Wifi codes, dish cloths, ....
But also the information and comments on all the activities possible in Foz Village and its surroundings.
Restaurants, bars, water sports ... We want this Book as a true guide for a successful holiday.

Access for travelers:
A 1 hour drive from Lisbon airport. Rentals available at the airport (Hertz, Avis, ...).
Take the A8 (West) 45 min ride. Released in Caldas Da Reina No. 18 "Foz Do Arlho". Bypass the roundabout "ceramic", go under the motorway bridge. Straight to Foz (10min). Beware of "breakage rate" at the entrance and in the village. Rua da Igreja (Church Street) is the first on your right after the bank (C A). 150 meters and you discover the little square with the church, "the blue house" is the first gate on your right ... well come to you!
You can park in the grounds of the property (2 vehicles long).
On request, a shuttle (for 4 persons) can be requested for the modest sum of 80 € (payable to the driver).

The property was even better than the listing indicated.It was very clean and extremely well equipped.Very large spaces both inside and out. So with a very good location, it made for a lovely holiday.We will return.

Great size villa with lots of bedrooms. Laurent and his dog gave us a very friendly meet with tips on lovely restaurants nearby.
Resort a bit quiet for us and sea a bit cold but great place to stay if there are lots of you. Well equipped and clean

We had a great week in Laurent's villa. The villa was spacious and well equipped with all amenities needed for a large group.
We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space at the villa, which included many different chairs, loungers and eating spaces incl. table tennis. The courtyard was beautiful with good shading from large parasols. We had a few small setbacks during our stay but Laurent was an excellent host and responded /acted quickly
Whilst the villa itself was charming, the immediate area is run down and in need of development, there are quite a few choices of restaurants at the beach (15-25 min walk), but few cafes for breakfast or coffee in the immediate area. We felt it lacked a 'hub' in the village as the local restaurants and coffee shops were situated on roads and not in a 'centre'. We would highly recommend a local bar called 'trombone'. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere great!
All in the party enjoyed the table tennis, billiard table, darts, bikes etc..
The area benefits from coastal breeze (which can mean a little cool for eating/sitting outside at night, but for us the weather was perfect)
