Located on the protected cove in the heart of Cayman Kai, Barefoot Lagoon is an ideal option for small families and couples.
This island home spans two floors with the living areas on the lower level and two-bedroom suites on the upper level. The downstairs area features an open floor plan with the living, dining, and kitchen areas flowing into the home's two-story screened lanai porch.
The two-story lanai includes a patio dining area directly off the kitchen. A barbeque sits outside of the lanai perfect for island cookouts.
Tropical trees and shrubs step off the backdoor lead to the shared pool and boat dock where you can launch one of the three kayaks (2 tandem, 1 single) provided during your stay. The pool and dock are just 100 feet from the backdoor. Adventure seekers will want to explore the cove (also known as Bioluminescent Bay) at night to watch the waters glow under the stars.
Back inside, the lower level also includes a small home office, a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, coffee maker, microwave, blender and all the necessary cooking tools, a laundry room, and a half bathroom.
The upper-level features 2-bedroom suites each with a private balcony overlooking the screened lanai.
Our Island House has full air conditioning in the first-floor area and individual air conditioners in each bedroom.

We had a wonderful stay here. The accommodations were wonderful. The area was quiet, yet offered lots of adventures. Grand Cayman is beautiful, so we were glad to have rented a car. This home also came with bikes we used daily to explore this area and kayaks to get out on the lagoon. Our nighttime paddle to see the bioluminescence was spectacular. The pool was great and very clean. And right across the street is the Rum Point Club if you wanted to eat or have a drink out. RPC has a beautiful beach and there is a public beach right next door. The kitchen is fantastic. We did not use the laundry area, but that is such a nice feature as well. We loved it here and highly recommend!

I want to say first that the hosts were very nice and responsive. Unfortunately, the home itself was not up to par with other homes in the complex as we had two other families staying there and their homes were much more updated and comfortable. 1. The back porch furniture was not comfortable. 2. The inside furniture was very nice but not very comfortable to sit in for longer periods. In our opinion this would have made for wonderful porch furniture. and replace the inside furniture with something more comfortable. 3. The beds need to be more comfortable as they were quite springy. Didn’t sleep well. 4. Master bath - door wouldn’t close easily and is swelled and cracked at the bottom. The toilet was loose on its base and felt like it would fall off. Shower could use updating if not a whole new walk in shower then at least new fixtures. 5. Sheets were of low quality and not very comfortable. On the positive side. The house was clean. The location was awesome for Rum Point. We typically stay on 7 Mile Beach but this was a pleasant change. The amenities were great…. Kayaks, bikes, snorkel gear, grill and outside loungers. We enjoyed our stay and only list these items so hopefully the host will make improvements as needed. Thanks!
