About this house rental
We welcome you to enjoy your holidays in a spacious and lovingly decorated double storey townhouse, Casa Sol. On the upper floor, Casa Sol contains 3 bedrooms, 2 double (with the bedroom en suite master) and 1 twin, with two single beds. There is also an additional bathroom with shower. On the ground floor, there is a big comfortable living room and dining room with a fireplace, 1 shower room and fully equipped kitchen. In the back of the house you can enjoy your meals and drinks, as well as a beautiful sunset from the terrace. To provide you with as much comfort as possible, the house is equipped to the smallest detail as well as offers bed linen and towel change (1x a week), all included in the price.
Most importantly, Casa Sol offers the Possibility of BOTH relaxing and active holidays, it is located away from the crowds, yet near a variety of facilities for any taste of dream vacations. There are 5 fabulous and picturesque beaches, 5-10 min walk, the Caneiros Beach, Torrado Beach, Pintadinho Beach and Praia Grande (here you might want to visit the beautiful castle right at the beach). In a few minutes drive you can enjoy 4 magnificent golf courses, the Meridian Championship Course at Penina, the two Pestana courses, Gramacho and Vale da Pinta and Silves Pestana Golf. Other near-by facilities are tennis courts, theme and aqua parks, hiking trails (both at the mountains and near the beach), casinos, malls and traditional shops & shopping centres. If you would like to have a taste of the Portuguese cuisine, this is the place to be, Ferragudo is Algarve's traditional fishing village, with its harbor and fishermen bringing fresh fish from the sea to the surrounding restaurants.

A nice house, nice lay-out. We were me and my husband, our daughter with her two children. Perfect! We went to different beaches, with waves and without. Ferragudo is a pittoresc little town, nice to walk around. We visited Lagos as well as Silves and visited some restaurants and also cooked several meals in the nice kitchen. Unfortunate it was rather.humid in the house.

We're a family of 5 from Norway. Our stay in Ferragudo was perfect. The house is spacious, there 5-10 minutes to walk to a fantastic beach, there are restaurants 5-10 minutes away, and Ferragudo and Portimao is 10 minutes away by car. We mostly stayed in the house, but had one fantastic trip to "Slide and Splah" with the kids (15 minutes by car) and another day we rented kayaks and went with a group to explore the sea caves. But the best thing is the beach nearby. Not too crowded. Fantastic view. The kids loved the waves. The water is not super warm (around 20 celcius), but nice for us. We hope to come back!

We spent six nights and it was perfect! Location provided privacy but centrally located for day trips throughout the region from Sagres to Tavira and inland to Monchique. Spacious for four adults, lovely roof top deck for cocktails at sunset and outdoor deck. Property manager responsive and accommodating. No hesitation recommending this and returning in the future!

The house is well appointed with modern fittings. The beds are very comfortable. However, the outside space is limited in area and is totally enclosed with walls providing no views at all. There is, however, a roof-top terrace equipped with sun-loungers and table and chairs with views of the Atlantic and across the river to Portimao. The access to the property is via a short driveway shared with 3 other houses. There is no room to turn the car around and so reversing into the house parking space is recommended. This, however, has safety issues as the road is situated on a blind bend. On a few occasions this has nearly resulted in collisions. You have to be extremely careful reversing into the drive. Within 15 minutes walk you can access the cliff-top walks with Ferragudo in one direction and Carvoeiro in the other. It's about 30 minutes walk along the road into Ferragudo, but uphill coming back. A very nice restaurant is directly across the road from the house. The meat, especially the lamb chops is really good. The prices are pretty high and they do not accept credit or debit cards. The house wine is not very good in our opinion.
