Wigmore Lakes Lodges

Beautiful setting, lodge had everything we needed. Bob arrived quickly with a supply of loo rolls which were missing on arrival. Very convenient for the weding we attended at Stanford Farm.

Padlock on the entrance gate, difficult to see at night (though we’re told this was going to be changed). Cash deposit. We had to hang around for it be returned when we were ready to leave.

We loved the location and the lakes were beautifully kept. We managed to catch a couple of fish and have a lovely weekend break. The hot tub was brilliant and nice to relax in. Bed comfy and everything clean. Would come back!

The tv in the living room wasn’t working very well and the sofas a bit stiff and not hugely comfy so we had to watch tv on the tiny tv in the bedroom but having said that we would stay again as we didn’t go there to watch tv it was just something to do of the evening.

Hot tube on the terrace and location

The location was close to where we were attending a wedding

Bob, The staff member who ‘greeted’ us was very rude The lodge was pretty dirty, the curtains were hanging off the walls and were so thin, it was super hot with no effective fans or cooling The communal area was filthy with dead flies everywhere and cobwebs hanging from the corners The pillows managed to be flat and lumpy Not enough crockery etc No shower curtain so everything got soaked Just no attention to detail The place felt very cheaply put together and the chairs and table on the the deck were super wobbly and unstable
