Résidence Odalys Terra Gaia

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They are also very forgiving of our non-existent French-speaking skills! The rooms are clean and well appointed, with a decently stocked kitchenette. They have a clever system for larger bookings where you actually get adjoining rooms with a connecting door (which means 2 x bathrooms and 2 x kitchenettes!). The beds are comfy, and you can hire towels if you need them. They'll also loan you an iron /ironing board if needed. Each room has a balcony. In the block we've stayed in our rooms have either overlooked the pool (and if you're lucky a sliver of sea, which is a max 10 min walk away), or the lake (plus sunset 🌇). The communal areas are all very clean and well maintained. The pool is lovely, not heated but does maintain a comfortable temperature during the summer. The pool is also never as busy as you'd think it would be, and we've always managed to get sunbeds. Have only used the little gym once - has 1 x each of treadmill, bike, and crosstrainer. Haven't ever used the sauna. We've stayed here a few times now, and plan to return each year.

Literally only "negative" I can think of is that the swimming pool opens quite late (10am).

1 Bed Apartment Hotel with Balcony facing the Bassin was great. Close to beach and some local shops. Bus Stop right outside. Good value for money- would definitely stay again.

Apartments are a distance from Town but regular Bus service is good. A/c overflow dripped onto Balcony from above..

Nice little apartment for two adults and a baby, although a little bit of a tight squeeze to get a travel cot in the bedroom. Kitchenette was fairly well equipped, bathroom was fine too. Great to have washing and drying machines available downstairs and a drying rack in the room. The pool was nice, water temperature a bit dependent on the weather, and there was plenty of space whenever we went. Plenty of parking. The bakery next door was great, short walk to a Lidl and a Spar, some nice restaurants and the beach at 10-15min walk. We were facing the train tracks and did notice when they went past, but we didn't find it too disturbing. Air conditioning worked well, our room faced away from the sun so it didn't have to work too hard. Nice comfy couch.

The room wasn't especially clean, but some cleaning equipment was provided; broom, dustpan, vacuum cleaner and mop - and you need to provide your own cleaning and washing-up supplies. Plumbing was quite noisy.

Quiet room, aircon in dining room worked well. Friendly staff. Easy and free parking

Nothing provided to be able to clean sink, wipe dishes. Only a Broom and Mop. No hand soap, shampoos, dishwashing liquid, cubes for Dishwasher, cloths. I guess we were fortunate in that the pool area stayed open until 4th October. It was 27 degrees on Sat. Why don't they keep the pool open all year. That is why we chose this place. I'm assuming you don't lower the room prices when you close the pool. Just don't heat it, if it comes down to cost. Most people would want to relax by the pool surely. Some things were broken, like the clothes airer, globe needed replacing in the bedroom, mould in bathroom.
